Tenterden high Street was a hive of activity on the day of the folk festival. There was something for everyone. Cake shops, restaurants, the White Lion P.H. which had a fine selection of beer and food, with seating outside and inside. All of the staff at the various shops and restaurants were very helpful. A visit to Tenterden and the High Street is highly recommended.

I came here to watch Tenterden Folk Festival. We saw different groups of dancers in fantastic costumes.

Love Tenterden, however, after visiting after a few years have notice a big change - All the lovely Antique shops have gone barring two - and one of those was closed. Still a lovely place but not how it used to be.

What a charming town! Almost in a time- warp? A parade of various shops, pubs & eateries. Worth a morning/ afternoon visit. A few hours of nostalgia for sure! There's the steam railway & a town museum just down a side-street too. A fond memory of a great day out!!

A traditional high street, good cafes. A great jewellers where I bought a pendant for my wife on our golden wedding. 2 good traditional mens outfitters as well. Excellent.

The town is lovely, very picturesque and had an interesting variety of shops and cafes available. The only real issue I had was with parking, it was free but for 1 hr only. It was difficult to meet friends for lunch and left no time to actually 'shop'. I was advised after that Tesco will give you a longer timeframe.

One of the better high streets for independent businesses in Kent. The architecture is well worth a look at is the church and the steam railway. Plenty of good places to eat and drink as well as just sit and take it all in.

Four adults went to Tenterden high street to do a treasure trail, which we enjoyed. The high street has a lot of old timbered buildings and others more modern but still very old. Quirky alleys and passages as well as shops to fill your day to day needs. Many independent businesses and ample pubs and restaurants with character.Plenty of parking and very green fields all around. And of course it has a heritage railway. Well worthy of a visit.

I'd never been to Tenterden until today. It's lovely. A very nice hour spent walking from end to end with time for a coffee. The High St has a lovely range of independent shops with a few big names thrown in. If you like antiques, there are several shops. We were welcomed in all the shops we went into.I didn't spot a fishmonger, though there may well be one. Maybe they've been squeezed out by the 2 supermarkets in the town.
