I had a bad experience here a few years back but popped in today hesitantly for food and was very pleasantly surprised.
Food was amazing and staff were very friendly.

Took the kids and the dog there today and what a shame. They've totally ruined it. It had quite a unique beer garden that over looked a beautiful ankle deep stream. But we discovered today that they've completely fenced it off so you can't even see the stream let alone let the kids and dog have a paddle. Now it's just like any other bear garden that's fenced off and no view. No idea who's idea it was but it was a bad one. No point in coming back now. You used to be able to have a picnic next to the bear garden too. But they completely tabled that area a few years back. But the fence is the end of it for us. Absurd idea

First time there, a wonderful location with a nice lawn next to a river. Heard the food was good but was told it was at least an hour's wait due to a large party in the building. Looking around the place looked about ½ full on a Monday around 2pm. Can only assume staffing issues. Will give it another go
