Incredibly poor food hygiene. Just watched the staff member serve a customer with gloves on, handing him his dirty coins as change, and then start making sandwiches again using the same gloves, touching all the food items. Walked out without ordering anything.

I am glad I change my mind of eating food by Subway and going to Greggs instead as the floor was dirty, tables and window ledge had two dead flies and one alive fly.When I approached the manager of this Subway and he was NOT apologic about the state of dining area and full of excuses for unhygienic state even when I pointed out the flies to him! If the dining area is dirty and filthy I dread to think of the hygiene of food handling is!

Stopped in yesterday morning thinking I'd buy a Greg's as I have a gift card, I do like a subway and the lady behind the till was smiling so went to have a look. Mentioned I was probably going with Greg's due to the voucher she mentioned the Subway app as having 30% off so I downloaded and purchased Subway. She was patient as I was taking forever downloading and signing into a new account.
I sometimes find the food at Subway looks like it's been out and looks horrible which is why I often don't buy it these days but the food looked fresh and everything was clean and the staff member was cleaning and clearing tables as soon as someone left.
What was also really noticeable was the staff member actually interacted with her customers, these days most people are there to do a job but this individual had conversation, she clearly had regulars and would smile and start a conversation with them. I even sat in to eat and this happend with a few customers. It was a really pleasant experience.
She also knew her stuff, someone came in and asked how much a coffee was the guy was thumbling around with the till whilst she served another customer, when finished she just smiled and said it's £1.99 before he had managed to find it on the till. When I asked how much it would be to upgrade my meal with the voucher, again the guy on the til was pressing buttons and she said the upgrade is £2 regards, the voucher is only for the sandwich.
I'm guessing the guy was new or maybe not so confident he didn't smile at all, the usual customer service I usually receive most places. Hopefully he takes tips from the lady and I will definitely visit again

Awful. Been coming here for over a year and don't know why I keep doing it to myself. If you want meatballs, don't even bother. Staff turnover must be astronomical as well as they are clearly unorganised. Needs new management or just close down.

Been to subway in the morning after finishing nights shift at 7am, getting myself a veggie breakwich foot long and my Mrs a poached egg and cheese foot long. The lad who served me clearly wasn't in the mood maybe a bad start to the day, didn't show any enthusiasm making the sub sandwiches and nearly charged me £16! After scanning the QR Code to get 50% off any sub foot long which expires tomorrow, told him he'd charging me the wrong price, he complained the till isn't working properly and needs updating, rescans the qr code, he charged me again but from £11.99 to £8.99! He's done it wrong again, the veggie breakwich is £5.49 foot long and poached egg and cheese foot long is £3.79, add them together £9.28, and the qr code supposedly taking 50% off!! Should've been £6.54 or £7.39, I just paid £8.99 and left. Clearly this place is hiring young lads who only doing it for the money and don't care about the work. Need to hire better staff.

Subway isn't what it used to be. It was always so fresh and everyone loved it but these days, it doesn't matter what one u go to, all the salads are dry and brown and the bread seems to be really hard.

Came in for lunch while on a day visit to a relative. Used to live in the village so thought pop in to see what it was like. Both my partner and I went for our subway favourite the Meatball sub. Walked back to were we where visiting and got stuck in . Not impressed on this occasion meatballs tasted like those canned ones you get in the cheap tinned section of a supermarket. Something you have at home to give children that's quick and Easy.Staff did seem new could tell they seemed abit overwhelmed and lost and only one staff who seemed to be on point.

I popped in to the staplehurst branch today and it was so refreshing to see such happy, polite and helpful ladies behind the counter. Their names were Sam and Tracy and they really made a huge difference to the usual subway experience.The little things make a big difference, thanks ladies!

Its the 1st subway ive ever been to that has told me i cant have any salad or sauce in my meal,because its from the set menu.The little woman seems to be a bit power hungry.
