Nice little pub, staff very friendly, food was very poor, cold chips, tikka skewer was just seasoned chicken and bone dry. After letting the waitress know and asking for a refund, we were asked did we want the bill, and rushed out

Was touring castles in the area on our one-day stop over as part of our 3 week Mediterranean/Western Europe tour. The atmosphere, service, and food were perfect. Exactly what we imagined when stopping for fish and chips, bangers and mash and some pints.

Very pleasant visit for my family of 6 . From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with warm smiles. We loved the interior decor especially all the flowers and the cozy fire place.
The service was fantastic . The staff were very helpful with recommendations and kindly offered my granddaughter some colouring books and activities. We were quickly told what was available and what wasn?t due to changes with The new menu coming which was very insightful and helpful. The homemade food was so comforting and would highly recommend! Its seems like a very well loved pub we could hear the bar staff talking so kindly to the locals which was very heartwarming. Overall I would highly recommend this little quaint Pub in Staplehurst.

I visited the Kings Head pub in Staplehurst and was subjected to racial and homophobic abuse. Instead of a safe and welcoming environment, I was left feeling humiliated ? especially as my friend was praying at the time and we were both made to feel completely unwelcome. This kind of behaviour should never be tolerated in any public space. I hope the management takes this seriously and ensures proper action is taken so others aren?t subjected to the same abuse.
