Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff.Food was a bit hit and miss, broccoli was mushy/wet. The parsnips were lovely. The gammon roast, the meat was grey but tasted ok. Gluten free Yorkshire pudding was rock solid. I mean you couldn't eat it if you tried, it was that bad ( was nice that it was an option though, just needed to be cooked way way less or not kept under a heat lamp)The menu needs changing as the kids menu online says nuggets are gluten free but in the pub it doesn't say that, but in the pub it says the sausages are gluten free and they are not. Other options were available so it wasn't a huge problem, but I would recommend they change this as a little misleading.Toilets lovely and clean. Reasonable prices. Good menu choicesThe atmosphere and the staff are what makes this place.Vegetarian options: The menu is marked with a V for vegetarian options and there seemed to be lots of these. More vegetarian options than vegan and gluten freeDietary restrictions: They have gluten free, vegan and Vegetarian options, all clearly labelled on the menu. Which is great as you don't have to log onto an app, or scroll through a giant folder. It's clearly labelled on the menu. The only thing is the children's menu needs correcting.Other than that, it's fantastic. Very good informative menu when dealing with dietary restrictions.Parking: There was plenty of parking on a Sunday lunchtimeKid-friendliness: The lady serving us offered colouring bits to the children which was a nice touch and chatted with them.We had bits with us, so didn't need any. But it's great they have these things to offer.Wheelchair accessibility: A couple of wheelchair spaces at the front of the carpark

It was out first visit for Sunday lunch. Food bland and over cooked, with very little flavour. Turkey and Pork wasn't available and so we chose the roast beef. Beef was overcooked and felt like pre ordered slices from Brakes! Stuffing burnt, roast potatoes reheated, veg overcooked and pigs in blankets were like bullets. The best part was we didn't need to cook or wash up, we defiantly won't be back. Such a shame as they have a captive audience with the village.

I didn't eat there, so this is why I haven't rated it, but it's a lovely little village pub.

We found this place by chance in a search for dog friendly pubs? and what a find it was! Staff were so lovely and welcoming, super helpful with menu choices, fussy kids and vegetarians! The doggo was spoilt rotten, too. Portions are huge, food is great quality pub grub, something for everyone. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Lots of lovely veggie optionsKid-friendliness: Very accommodating with fussy eater 11 year old!

It's a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I've been here and it's been perfect. Most recently the locals at the bar were more important and wouldn't even leave space to get past to the toilet. You can feel like an inconvenience.
