No longer the most expensive supermarket, with a lot of items now price matched with Aldi, but still a slightly better quality compared to their rival supermarkets.Using the Smartshop app can be a bit varied as the free WiFi can be a bit hit and miss, and the mobile phone signal is not great in certain parts of the store. If I do get it working, you can potentially save yourself a lot more money with special offers on certain products, usually things you have bought previously. You can also link your nectar card to the app to save even more with Nectar prices, usually on previously purchased items.They have recently altered the layout of the checkout area, with a small self-service section for baskets, plus next to it, a new larger self-service for trolleys. It makes checking out with Shopsmart a bit quicker now.

Parking isn't free, only the first 30mins is and you must press the green button on the on-site parking machine to give you a receipt to display on your dashboard.If you're staying longer than 30mins, you must pay and display a part of the reciept on your dashboard, and tear off the other part as indicated, to be validated at checkout by the staff at Sainsbury's, as you risk getting a ticket by the ticket wardens otherwise.I hear that the validation will qualify you for a refund of parking fees, although I've not stayed longer than 30mins yet, so I haven't tried it.

This store is going downhill rapidly. Poorly stocked, lack of staff, manned tills cut and self-service doubled. No longer a pleasant place to shop.
