Had my puppy?s first groom here and the staff ensured us that they would only be cutting her hygiene areas, paws and eyes but we picked up a completely different looking puppy. They had shaved her head of all her curls and left long bits here and there and left the rest of her body untouched, as well as lots of bald patches in her tail. Our poor puppy does not look like the same dog or even breed and I wouldn?t recommend this to anyone. I am devastated at the results and so upset that I put my trust into them for her first time :( picked her up and she was so scared and stressed, wasn?t herself until we got home and she?s typically a very social dog who?s fine with daily brushing and eye/ear cleaning so I?m not sure what distressed her this much either.

We used the groom room today to have our dog groomed. We were quite nervous after having a bad experience with another groomer but our dog was handled with so much care and she seemed very happy when she came out ans we could even see her having a cuddle with the groomer from downstairs! We are so pleased with how she looks considering what needed to be done!

Nice enough staff. Wide variety of pet supplies and feeds, covering most domesticated animals, including reptiles and fish. Can be quite expensive in comparison to smaller, local pet/farm shops.

Why does nobody ever know about the fish, this isn't the first time! I went in today for a cold water plant for my fish tank but asked why they all said Tropica on them, the member of staff I asked looked through the book for them and them said they don't know and suggested I go elsewhere, I then stoop in the shop on Google to find out Tropica is just the brand name and they are perfect for my tank.
I think the place is perfect for cat amd dog owners but fish are forgotten.

We visited the Groom Room on 7th June 24 to make an appointment for our dog . What a reception, one of the two groomers glared at us as soon as we entered and when my wife said that we wished to arrange for a grooming session, the other groomer snapped "Not today". When I explained that we only wanted to book an appointment she said we'd have to wait outside until she'd finished what she was doing. Half an hour later my wife was permitted to book our appointment.
The next day we discovered, quite by accident, that the appointment had been cancelled because they sent the reminder to someone else (our daughter in law) who, quite understandably, told them that she had not booked. Instead of double checking the details or wondering who had made the booking, they just cancelled. Having discovered this, my wife called the number written on the appointment card, only to be
diverted to their message bot. They did not call back. I called again today (10th June) promptly at 09:00 and once again they have ignored us. Given the attitudes displayed upon our initial contact, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised but our daughter in law's experience convinced us to try the Groom Room, I can only conclude that she has been lucky, so far. They might well be excellent at what they do but when it comes to customer service it's more Grim than Groom.

They don't stock anything for pet birds at home. Like for parrots ect.
