Took my car for a full service and MOT. Had my car all day and they phoned to see if I wanted them to conduct work on advisory service items . Pollen filter etc. said , no thank you , but to give me quotes, which they kindly did. Drove car home and it felt a bit lumpy on acceleration and cut out when I got home . Next morning noticed engine light on. Code P1101 , mass air flow sensor fault. Phoned Halfords who recommended I take my car back to them. Mentioned the issues to a friend at work who is ex mechanic. He noticed the air filter had been replaced, but just left in the bottom of the air filter box and not connected to the air flow sensor pipe and not clipped into place at the other end. This caused the air flow sensor to malfunction, causing running issues and engine warning light to come on . Connected air filter correctly, put back together and car now runs fine and no engine light . I hope this was just an error on behalf of the mechanic conducting the service on my car and not a deliberate action causing me to take the car back and possibly charging me for a faulty sensor that didn?t need replacing along with additional labour costs ? However when I?m paying for a mechanic to service my car I expect the work to be done correctly and professionally . Sorry Halfords , I won?t be returning .Just a further update regarding the comments about their customer service maters blah , blah , blah from Chantelle informing me to provide email address etc so they can ? Reach out ? and resolve the issue.It?s been 2 weeks since I provided my details and not heard anything back regarding their impersonal , generic email which attempts to show some form of actual interest.Looking at other peoples complaints, they seem to also get the same non response.Appalling.

Made an appointment for 2pm to fix a puncture as a smart contract repair Told l had to leave my car until 6pm as it was a drop off appointment. I live 13 miles away so where would l go? I wasnt told it had to be left when l booked. Went to a local tyre repair who did the repair within an hour.

Halford's Sittingbourne has once again delivered outstanding, great service. We will be back next year for our MOT and service, as will my son for his car in a couple of months time. The lady who manages the unit is really friendly, and really helpful. I feel I can trust Halford's autocenter Sittingbourne. Best regards Mrs Freeman-Haines.

I wouldn't trust this place. They don't have any regard for their customers. Booked MOT for 8:30, came around 8:15, guys turned up only about 9:15. I was late for work.

Booked 2 tyres to be changed online via National Tyres website, Arrived just before appointment time, Service from the guy at the counter was good, Came back in an hour and car was ready to go Just how it should be, No issues.

Staff are rude and unprofessional. Had an mot here because I was part of the motoring club but since my experience here I?ve cancelled my membership and will never go back. When I thought it couldn?t get worse the staff belittled me, lied to my face and tried to rip me off. Took it to another garage and found I had unnecessarily paid £600 in repairs, wish I could say it?s just the customer service that?s shocking but the work they do is awful.Also I have no idea why they respond to complaints telling everyone to fill out the form because I did and was told I?d receive a response within 48hours however it?s been over a week and heard nothing.

Very helpful and honest.Wife took the family car in for MOT, needed new rear tyres as the tracking had been out in the past, they didn't try and pressure her into getting the tracking done again (as other garages might), took her word and just replaced the tyres the very next day, immediately retested and passed.Excellent service, we will be back.

Absolutely terrible. Booked car for MOT and arrived ahead of time. Called when MOT was completed to collect car, on arrival was told the car had failed on a faulty indicator blinker. When asked if they could replace that now and pass the MOT was advised they were not able to carry out that repair despite it being such a small thing. I should add the garage was empty so it?s not like they were too busy and this was the middle of the day.Before leaving the garage I booked the car in for a retest for 2 weeks time.On returning for the retest I met with the same man I saw previously who advised I would need a full retest as over 10 days had passed since the original test. At no point was I told when booking the retest that a full test would be required due to the time gap even though he would have known at the time of rebooking the test for me it would be over 10 days. If I had known this I would have booked it in sooner.When challenged on this the man was very rude to me and just said there was nothing he could do about it now.Now I?m left with having to get a full test completed at additional, unnecessary expense with only a few days remaining on the MOT. Needless to say I will be getting this done elsewhere.Awful service avoid like the plague

Shocking. Poorly prepared. Rude. Wasted my day.Booked in MOT online week ahead. Arrived half an hour early. Colleague spotted my reg, confirmed my MOT booking, took my key and immediately asked me why I was not signed up to their motor club scheme (data capture) After declining the offer, she pushed 2 more times with a tone making me out to sound stupid.Then 45 minutes into my ?MOT Test? I get a call asking to come get my car. ?They couldn?t test my car as the emissions machine was out of date and couldn?t compare results?. My car is 30 years old and will be common data. And I have a had successful tests at other branches no problem. What they meant was ?we no longer have time to do you test?. When I arrive the manager said ?sorry, I?ve refunded you? and that was all. I asked for more information the manager admitted that they had the same issue a month ago, yet let me arrive and leave it with them to have the same issue again.Waste of my time and no care about their customers. I spend a lot of money with this brand but that apparently means nothing.I would not recommend using this team even if it had no choice.

MOT time for my car here. I managed to get my car booked in here a few days before my current one ran out. Fast and efficient service, I had to wait as I didn't live locally. All completed in under the quoted time. Very happy.

Terrible experience and will never be using Halfords Autocentres again! Zero compassion, zero assistance and zero customer service. MOT booked in and arrived a few minutes late, explaining family emergency situation and willing to leave car there all day for them to work on when possible. No option but to rebook for a later date. Called Customer Services who offered no solution whatsoever and failed to get manager to call me back. Stay away from Halfords unless you want to have your day inconvenienced and your appointment failed. Would rate less if I could!!

Went here for the 1st time to get 4 new tyres & the tracking done.After booking my car in online I then read the reviews here & was starting to get worried after reading the negative reviews! I needn't have worried!I was greeted politely, handed my keys over & enquired how long it would be. Approx 2 hours I was told, which was enough time to have a mooch around the town centre, maybe get a coffee.Nope, no time to do half of that as I got a call 1 hour after dropping off my car to say it was all done! 4 tyres & tracking checked & adjusted in 1 hour!Better than their neighbours who fitted my last 2 tyres & checked the tracking in a grand total of 3 hours! I know where I'm going next time I need tyres!

I dropped my company fleet vehicle for wiper blade change. Halfords changed only the front wiper blade. Missed to change the rear wiper blade. Still, the rear wiper makes noise. Very typical average service centre experience. I'm not surprised.
