I wouldn't mind getting ID'd (the one time I leave my ID home) if when I came back I had also been ID'd after waiting 10 minutes minutes to buy 4 items, a waste of time and energy going and coming back for inconsistent service, as a regular for years its a shame when customer loyalty is devalued but maybe I'm just grumpy at the forced maze structure the shop operates k making in harder to get what need.

Terrible service lift isn?t working and hasn?t been for awhile and they don?t care. Makes it impossible to try and shop if you have a pram and if you?re disabled even worse.

I really feel regret to write this as I am a regular customer of Home bargain over a decades. Today I went to the Orpington store for my monthly shopping and was humiliated by the till lady. I did my shopping and went to the car and realised I don?t have any bags. I asked my daughter to Stay with the shopping and went for the bags. I was on the line for the bags only for decent amount of time while the lady was serving the customers infront of me. I found her very unprofessional because the customer in front of me had his dog and put the dog on the place where all of our shopping including food items go after scan. The man was putting some kind of band on the dog?s neck, as I believe we shouldn?t do this. Only guide dogs are allowed. Still I didn?t mind because we live in a society where we practice our British value tolerance. When the man finished his tying the dog?s band then he was paying the bill and he came close to me so I went the side to give him room because there was another man behind me who was close. Everything was in front of the till lady. When the man infront finished it was my turn. However, she ignored me and served the man behind. So I said I was in the queue and the gentleman asked politely what I bought. I said I need some bags and it is not a problem I will go next. Everything was infront of the till lady. When the man finished I asked for bags and bought and the lady behind me said there is a queue and I said I was on the queue and finished payment. Then the lady asked the till lady was she on the queue and she lied that I wasn?t, probably she thought I would not listen as I was about to go. Then I came back and asked why did you lie about me?!! Do you have cc camera ask for it. She wasn?t doing it immediately and I was in hurry and left. So it is a complaint and the authority should check. It was in the till which is by the side where all the tissue papers kept. The time was 5 ish or 5 to 6 pm.
I love to go to home bargain every months for my decent amount of monthly shopping. I do not deserve this kind of treatment. I felt it is a resist attitude as she saw me wearing head scarf and I am a Muslim. Such a heart breaking incident for me I was feeling devastated. Thank you.

Reasonably lower prices than most high street shops. Household cleaning and decorations mostly.
Not much choices for food though.
Highly recommended.

On site parking, and a great sized store for all you essentials. Always have a good amount of people on the tills too so never a really long wait
