Lovely lunch with my sisters. Service from Gail was excellent considering she was run off her feet she kept calm and even had time for a little chat. She did not show us any signs of the pressure she was under. Food was great value for money. Place a little tired could do with a revamp but overall a great experience

Good food and service. Service only for 4 start as they didn't have enough staff in a Saturday lunch. Stacey who served us was great but run off her feet!
Parking: Pub was not very full but the carpark was packed!

Rather chilly as so open plan and not enough people.
Parking: Exterior parking area had huge puddles and some mud. Building in need of renovations. Disabled toilet in need of decoration though serviceable.

We first arrived at about 8pm on a Thursday night as a family of four on our way back from Paris looking for some dinner, staying in the hotel next door.
It took aggggesssss for someone to come and see us at the entrance, I would say the pub looked to be less than half full. We were told there were no tables available which was disappointing given the journey we had travelled and with 2 young children, believe me we looked desperate!
Breakfast the following morning wasn?t great. Very slow service unless you?re regular travelling workman using the hotel and a dirty great huge hair right across the hot food we had ordered. I recommend literally anywhere else.

Just had the worst meal out we have ever had!! Had two mixed grills and a burger. I'm not sure what happend but the mixed grills were definitely not up to beefeaters usual standards! The sausages were miniature! Alot of the meat was cold and portions alot smaller then usual. The chips were definitely not the normal amazing quality. The sweetcorn was stone cold which cost £3.50 for one small piece, which was also covered in pepper! So my daughter wouldn't eat it, also her burger tasted bitter and was burnt! the worst bit of all was one of the chips that I had on my plate, I had to spit out and nearly threw up!! It smelt and tasted like all I can describe as death!! It obviously was a rotten chip and if anyone has come across any rotten potato's then you know exactly the smell I'm about! Not something you want to experience on your dinner plate! And in your mouth! The waitrose took it away and just offered me a bowl of chips which I couldn't eat obviously! We feel really robbed from what was meant to be a lovely meal out for a birthday treat, not to metion a complete waste of money!!. We never complain about anything normally and have always complimented beefeater mixed grills to everyone we know in the past. Unfortunately we will never return to this beefeater again. The worst ever!! didn't even get offered a discount when we said we were unhappy with it all!!

triple cooked chips must have been reheated three times, very leathery. chicken fillet dry and overdone, on the plus side, i can't fault the service, it's a shame the food doesn't match the service.

Booked a breakfast for the 10.45 sitting on the online booking service. When we arrived was told we should have arrived 15 minutes prior to reservation time although no mention of this online or the confirmation email , I guess you need to be telepathic to know this . I questioned this to be told nothing they could do and kitchens were closed as it was gone 11am , the waitress pointed to the wall clock but it was wrong and 10 minutes fast when we showed our watches with the right time she then said kitchen closed at 10.30. Hugely disappointed with zero information about arriving early and what is the point of offering a 10.45 sitting when it?s obviously unavailable. Wasted time and car journey. Beefeater need to update online booking or sort out kitchen closing up before time because one of them is very wrong.
Didn?t like the attitude of staff as implied we were the ones at fault which we were not . Very much put off going to this Beefeater again

Nice place, friendly welcoming staff however I was disappointed with the food. Had crispy chicken and chunky chips, was overcooked and barely edible with rock-hard coating and very fatty overcooked chips. Was with a large group celebrating a birthday so didn't feel appropriate to raise any complaints whilst in the restaurant. Can't fault the staff - just need to keep an eye on the timer with the food cooking>!
