Love this pub, use it a lot, its quiet and rural feel suits us beautifully, a calm in the storm of life!
Absolute gem, walk the woods ( full of history) see amazing views from the pulpit in the woods then get a deserved pint and half a pint of icecream for the kids ! Dog friendly with parking and stunning garden. Hoghly recommend ( beer and food great too 😘)

Nice pub with surprisingly good food. The sandwiches were tasty and filling. It's great that they come with chips but the salad wasn't to my personal taste.
We came with a big group, and they were worried about overwhelming the kitchen. Everything came out fine, but at different times. We didn't mind at all, but be aware of that before coming here.
The toilets are functional and clean, but could definitely be renovated because they were very uncared for.

Food is extremely well priced. I was genuinely shocked when I saw the prices!
Dogs are allowed on leads.
The garden is also very nice, it's well kept and designed so you get a 'private' space no matter where you sit. There is nearby chicken coop that you can see from the beer garden, the kids loved it!
I went on a Saturday, and it can get extremely busy. Only one person behind the bar and one person in the kitchen, so they had to start turning people away. Even though under pressure, the staff were still very friendly as efficient!

5 of us called in after a walk intent on a drink and maybe food. But we weren't acknowledged at all and waited 10 mins with no service so left. Shame really as we had heard good things about the place.

It's really hard to find a pub that is wheelchair friendly, dog friendly and vegan friendly, but this one ticks all the boxes! The young lad who served us on a couple of occasions is absolutely the nicest most attentive waiter and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's really good with disabled toilets.

Fabulous little find, had a really good evening meal. Very friendly barman. Excellent food, well presented and reasonably priced. In a lovely forest setting . Try the black lager !

We had a great meal there yesterday . The lady behind the bar was lovely . It bought back so many wonderful memories as I child as my grandparents , Charlie and Mary Dean owned the pub until 1986. Still has many of the beautiful features that they put it . The owners have done a fabulous job and the new gardens out the back are beautiful

We had a lovely meal. It's a beautiful country pub with welcoming staff and delicious food. Highly recommended.Wheelchair accessibility: It's a bit tricky getting the wheelchair through the front door but definitely possible. They went out of their way to accommodate me and make sure I was comfortable.

An absolutely stunning pub, a perfect position for a pit stop while out walking, we didn't have food but will definitely return, a beautifully kept garden, lovely staff and a perfect position.
