On shopping at my local Tesco in Strood, I came across a rude employee at the self service checkout, On seeing that I only had 3 item sbe insist 3 times to ask if that was all that I had on me. Which she could clearly see that was all the item I had on me, I choose to not reply , but she ask a second and third time. again, then I replied on the last occasion by letting her realise that I could not see other items, She continued to argue and tell all the other customer, as I was upset. This sounded like an accusation which she clearly look into my small handbag as this was open to see no tesco things inside. This woman is very rude in her attitude towards people. The way she spoke to me to move me to another till, not saying the first till was not working, just slam me onto another till. Tesco isn't what it use to be. I am seriously thinking of going to some other supermarket to do my shopping as this is a reoccurrence that keeps happening.

I have been a loyal customer for some years. However, after todays experience, that will change. I was very disappointed to find rotten products being on display in the fruit and veg area. The quality of fresh produce has declinded over a period of time, to the point of disgrace
I can't believe the management of the store in Strool allows this to happen.
I will take my feelings to Tesco head office because it's in my opinion that this has become unexceptable.

Want to say how friendly and helpful the gentleman was collecting trolleys today 17 04 2025 . He went above and beyond his job I was waitng for a taxi and the gentleman helped an elderly lady load her shopping in the boot of a taxi . And I see him helping few others what a credit he is to the store .

Nice store but the car park is dire, half of it is on a slope which makes holding a trolley whilst trying to load your shopping into the car a real challenge, and recently they added a useless path that nobody needs which has made the spaces closer together and impossible to get in and out of when it?s full unless you drive a smart car. I have told them directly but they aren?t interested.

I went to pay for my items at checkout where I met a member of staff called Nisha.
Nisha was busy having a conversation with her colleague before she finally decided to serve me.
I presented a club card screenshot when Nisha politely said ?sorry we don?t accept screen shots? (which is perfectly fine)
I attempted to open the app to present the club card on there but the phone signal for me was poor.
Rather than dilly dally, I decided to self service hoping to have better phone signal as it?s closer to the door but when I picked up my items, Nisha shouted at me ?YOU NEED TO PAY? as if I was a common thief! I told her that I was going to self service.
She then watched me pay for my items at self service as if it to make sure that I paid for the items that totalled less than £7.00 (cakes and sweets for niece who was staying with us on the weekend).
I have never felt more embarrassed at Tesco, especially considering I used to work at a London store many years ago.
Nisha, you were out order from the beginning. I hope you never treat somebody like that again.

Obnoxiously loud staff congregating around produce, swearing around customers and children. Very unprofessional and quite frankly uncomfortable. Certainly wouldn't recommend.

The profiteering done by Tesco since COVID has been a frankly appalling spree of corporate greed.
?The UK's biggest supermarket chain said pre-tax profits hit £2.3bn, up from £882m, while sales rose by 4.4% to £68.2bn in the year to 24 February.?
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: ?Tesco?s profits are another example of excessive profiteering fired up by astonishing corporate greed. It?s this rampant profiteering which is driving inflation, and cranking up the cost of living crisis for workers and their families.?

For the support given to me by staff when I went down like a lead balloon last week Wednesday. Their 1st aider Miss S was epic, empathetic sweet and wonderful. Tried calling by phone to leave positive feedback to her manager but could not get through the automated line sadly. Currently recovering my health as I want to pop in and personally thank her and the rest of the team for all their efforts.
