This place has a chequered past the people over the road who ran both pubs, dropped one due to issues and took this, the ale is just as bad. No atmosphere during my visit place was not quite empty but close. The place is a cliche you can wait a while for service and can be quite rude if you are not one of them. What a mouth watering menu! A choice of fish, meats or vegetarian dishes, all with very interesting ingredients or accompaniments.
We chose the moules mariniere. The mussels were plump and sweet, the sauce superb. Could not resist dipping the warm toasted sour bread in the sauce - wonderful.
