My journey started when I saw the house on the market place. The swift response from the team was excellent. We were immediately booked for a viewing and it was then that we knew we were in the write hands. After the viewing with David the next stage was with Samantha and Rachel. These were very patient with us as we were new tenants. Constant feedback, updates, stage by stage they explained and the level of their professionalism is exceptional. We have been letting our property with Votta for just over 2 years and our experience has been positive from start to finish. They have been very thorough in choosing suitable tenants and when difficulties have occurred they have been very quick to act on our behalf. Samantha in property management is very friendly and approachable, and also very speedy in her response to any concerns we have raised. It is reassuring to know that she is looking after both us and our property!

David Votta used to manage my properties, and in fact I was one of his first clients, until after a number of hugely alarming incidents, I decided I had to be rid of him and his ?service.?I refrained from writing a review until now, but after having received a threatening email both towards me and a former business partner of his who is everything he is not - honest, trustworthy and decent, I decided it is in people?s interests to be warned against employing him/ his company.David Votta, managed a number of properties for me, but as time passed, a number of incidents occurred that were extremely questionable to say the least, and that is being polite.1) He found me some tenants whom he said appeared lovely (I accept one can never be sure), and when they continued to not pay the rent, and I felt strongly they were never going to, David assured me he thought they would. They never did. Ok, he felt more confident of them than I. But, when they left the flat after a court order, they?d owed me in excess of £8,000 in rent, and trashed the flat, meaning I had to lay out several thousand on top to put the flat in a rentable condition.Bear in mind, all I could get back was the 5-week deposit amounting to about £800 only. When I checked my account for the deposit, Mr Votta had taken his management fee out of it, without even asking. That?s right, an 8-month management fee, when I hadn?t actually received any rent (despite his assurances) for that time, and he had the cheek to take out the 8 months management from the paltry deposit (without any forewarning), after I had lost well in excess of £10,000 as a result of a bad tenant, that he'd found!2) Another time, he also told me he would need to put his rates up, as I was at that point being charged a small management percentage, as I gave him 16 flats to manage, and I was his first client, so he wanted the business. We hadn?t agreed the new rate, neither in conversation nor writing, and all of sudden I noticed he was sending me the rent minus his increased management fee, without prior agreement. That?s fraudulent.There were a number of issues, including a blotch on his character that I?d noticed on a day visiting properties, in which he had made racist remarks, which I did not appreciate nor felt very uncomfortable with at all.David, seemed to get ahead of himself, when he kept boasting of his impending Presidency of Propertymark, whom I hadn?t even heard of, but he kept going on about how important he was to become. Well, as a result of his recent threating email, perhaps Propertymark or whatever they are called, will up their game and elect someone who has the genuine credentials to portray himself as a somebody, as evidently he is quite the opposite.In informing him of taking my business elsewhere after a long list of his misdemeanours, and asking whom I was going to use, which continues to be Oakwood Homes, who I have found to be very professional, he gave me a whole diatribe of their poor service and how unqualified they were to take on my business.Notwithstanding, Mr Votta?s ?concern for my health and well-being? including his declaration that he was concerned I had dementia, such was his surprise at me relieving him of his services. Simply outrageous, not least disgraceful and unprofessional.As I mentioned, I was not going to leave this review until now, but after last week, in which he threatened me, and my use of another lettings agent I could no longer stay silent.So, if you want a lettings and management agent you can trust, is professional, who is decent across the board ? DO NOT touch Votta with a barge pole and go elsewhere. Well, the principal, David, as he does have a lady in his office who is nice, but no doubt, she will end up going somewhere that is deserving of her in the nearer future when the market improves, of that I am certain.

We just moved into our lovely new home with the help of Steven wheeler, he was amazing! Really helpful and if I need to asked questions or needed any help he would answer the phone me straight away and was really helpful! He gave me a lot of confidence as well with my new home!!
