Everything was okay except the important thing sleep. The bed has bed bugs, whole body was aching all night because of the bed mattress not of good quality. Had a disturbed sleep all night.

We stayed for 3 days (14.08-16.08.2025) for a family wedding.
The room was spacious, lots of storage and clean, was very quiet.
Service was good at reception desk and housekeeping.
Location was excellent for everything we need to do for our stay.
We definitely look to book again in the future.

Pleasantly surprised to find large airy rooms, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making sure we were looked after. Lots of places to eat and a retail park on the doorstep. The only problem was the shower. Ridiculously short hose and I'm only 5ft 2ins. Not fit for purpose. Fix that and you get five stars. Definitely returning for our next trip to visit my son in Broadstairs.

Handy place to stay short term and quiet during the night. Rooms are more than good enough but, like most travel lodges, the shower isn't strong enough and hot water is inconsistent.

Ok to stay if you want to go cinema and grab something to eat as few restaurants near...parking gets busy as shopping center near by...no hot breakfast available but mcdonalds across the road

Very clean and tidy environment with good customer service. Ideal for what we required.

Booked a stay here to visit family, I was working back at home the morning of the stay so I caught the train up while my wife went ahead in the car.
Upon arriving, my wife realised she had mistakenly booked a double room upstairs instead of a family room on the ground floor.
For context, my wife is physically disabled and also dyslexic, which is likely where the confusion occured.
After speaking to staff, who contacted customer services on our behalf (my wife's phone plan has a zero spend cap so she couldn't ring a chargeable number), we were told it would be £104 to move rooms.
Sarah and Robert then contacted their manager who agreed to move the room, no extra charge.
Considering the error was made at our end, there was absolutely no obligation for staff to help us out in this way, and it was really good of them to help us out of a bind when they could have just let us work out how we were going to get the extra £104 from.
Sarah and Robert are a credit to travelodge

We regularly choose to stay at Travelodge Margate Westwood Cross when visiting family in the Margate/Ramsgate area. It?s ideally located, especially if you want to be close to shops, restaurants, and the main routes in and out of Thanet. The location is one of its best features ? everything you need is right on the doorstep.
As with most Travelodges, you get what you pay for. It?s basic but clean, and that consistency is something we appreciate. The rooms are always tidy, the beds are decent, and there?s tea and coffee provided, which is a nice touch after a long journey.
However, we stayed during the hottest two days in the UK so far this year, and the lack of air conditioning made the rooms almost unbearable. Even with the provided fan, the heat was overwhelming and made it difficult to sleep or relax. This is definitely something to be aware of if you?re planning a summer visit.
Another small point ? the layout can be a little confusing. We?ve stayed here a few times now, and we still sometimes get lost trying to find our room. Better signage or clearer stairwell markings would really help.
All in all, it?s a reliable and conveniently located base for visiting family or exploring the area. Just maybe not the best pick during a heatwave!

Great price for one night!

There was a lot of noise people opening closing doors and walking through the hall way. So sound proofing is awful. Also through the night there's was an extremely trong smell of Cannabis being smoked.
Lastly the breakfast was only a pointless takeaway breakfast of cereal bars which was NOT well highlighted when making the booking. Not useful at all for my wife who is celiac.
