We?ve just had a fantastic evening meal at the Rose and Crown. Superb menu and plenty of choice the staff couldn?t be more helpful and attentive. I Highly recommend eating there.

The Rose and Crown is the only pub worth visiting in the Pluckley area. The food is absolutely delicious and of an excellent standard. The staff are really welcoming and Hetty looked after us really well. Certainly I wouldn't bother with the Black Horse as the food is revolting and the welcome is cold, as written by most visitors. I would not go anywhere else in Pluckley other than the Rose and Crown. Well done for delicious food and a warm welcome

Its a lovely old pub, with several fireplaces/wood burners and a good beer selection. We were off a bit of a slow start, as a family of several under 5 children were climbing over the bar, (only one server), so we had a 5 minute wait before we could check in. There is no front of house. We went for Sunday lunch and the results varied. The burger and fries was quite large and delicious, as were the roasts. My veggie option was very dissapointing. The goat cheese tart tasty of nothing, as did the aubergine dish. It was also a little on the expensive side with starters 50% of the cost of the main meal. Good service though.

We had Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. We had three vegans in the party and despite them running low on the main vegan toast available, they switched to something else for the other two and it was great. Really nice portions and the drinks were very, very reasonably priced. Worth visiting.

Lovely place to eat and drink. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and four of us spent a very enjoyable evening both inside the pub while we ate and outside in the garden for drinks afterwards. We would definitely recommend The Rose & Crown ?
