Just happened to pop in after a walk for a spot of lunch. Really lovely old pub and restaurant. The limited menu was on but still a decent choice. Both the burger and crispy chilli salad were excellent. Clearly both freshly made and service excellent. About an hour?s drive for us but will definitely make the effort to go back in the not too distant future.

Only popped in for a quick drink as we were passing by, very surprised by how reasonable the prices were considering the pubs location. The food, although I did not have any looked fantastic and large portions, I am tempted to drive the hour over to try it.

First visit this evening to this wonderful country pub, we live quite a distance away, however as my daughter is studying in Hadlow, we decided to try and find a pub nearby for my partners 40th birthday celebrations. We were so lucky to manage to get a table after a cancellation! Pie and pint night special this evening, we all had the Rifleman pie, and it was exquisite! Good size portions, and value for money, in beautiful, cosy surroundings with the most kind and attentive staff.
I?m not surprised it gets so booked up on a Tuesday evening! A true pleasure to see one of our now very few country pubs thriving. Thankyou so much to the whole team, we had a wonderful night, and will definitely be returning again soon.

Our first visit to this place. Service was good food was great ( except ice cream) really enjoyed our 1st visit. Will be back although parking difficult.

Wonderful pub, delicious food! Staff are so attentive and friendly. My five year old and beagle were made to feel very welcome too.
Kid-friendliness: Our five year old is always welcomed here, great kids menu too.

Food was very good, nice dog friendly pub, they were very busy on the day we were down there but the food was of good quality and the cask ales were great. The doggo enjoyed his free biscuits too, he wants to go back.

We had a family gathering of 10 people at The Kentish Rifleman. We were very well looked after with friendly service before and during the visit and all the food was delicious. All very reasonably priced too. Hope to visit again one day.
