I placed an order 20mins ago but I wasn?t served as I was 5mins late and they ?had ran out of the cod fish?. I drove half an hour to pick it up.

Still owned by the Great award winning Harry the crane ! Superb alternative to the Pilot or the Britannia pub..haddock and chips walks as well reasonable at 15 quid..only down side in these modern times is now they are cash only.

This is a take-away food destination of choice whenever I?m in the area. The fish is great (the batter is great) and the chips are generally good to very good (there has been some variation over the years but nothing disappointing), although not the best I?ve tasted. I can be pretty fussy on chips having tasted many over the years. Portion sizes are good too! Staff are friendly and helpful.
Parking: Parking, if not available on the forecourt is available close by. It?s never been an issue whatever the time of day even in high season.

Great food and friendly staff that can't help you enough.
Shame you can't eat in anymore but there's plenty of seating on the beach 2 mins away

Popped into this chip shop one lunch time as we were passing, we only had chips but they were fantastic, moving to the area very soon so this could become our local shop..
