Always a good to favourite when in Kent. Good food, good ales (very good ales) and great garden. Quirky - floors on different levels - but never disappointed.

Found this pub on google, you can get lost on the way in, lots of rooms and steps with a great atmosphere, mind your head. Service was good and friendly, food was great and plenty of it at a good price, best to book. Would recommend and return, a great experience.

Came to see Cranbrook Silver Band. Just had drinks on this occasion. Beautiful pubs like this are worth going out of your way to visit. Fantastic atmosphere and I know from previous times the pub has an extensive selection of well kept real ales and English wines. Recommended.

Very slow service on food. Took over 90 minutes for our meals to arrive. Nice location but perhaps a victim of its own success.

Always visit the Halfway House when we come to Kent. Great pub, great food. Highly recommended.

Wonderful quirky old pub, how a pub in the country should be. Staff were great, food was fabulous (those chunky chips ?), and the ale I chose was delightful. Pity I had to drive as there were quite a few real ales to be sampled.

Amazing spot when the weather is nice. Food was great quality, reasonably priced and they have a ton of local and guest beers on tap.

We had a fantastic night at the hoe down last night with the best cider and Brenchley bitter.Friendly atmosphere and the country chicks gig . everyone was very welcoming, even allowing us to park our campervan and stay overnight so we could fully enjoy the fun.Thank you.
