We took a Superior King with a sea view and saw the sun set behind a gleaming lighthouse from the bed, easily the comfiest I have slept in, plushly dressed in enveloping white. A truly beautiful bathroom, too, and a bay window almost deep enough to serve as a second room. We absolutely shall, and must, return.

Had a peaceful sat night stay here in Feb , easy check in , room was spotless , tasteful and comfortable . Hotel has friendly staff that are there if you need them but aren't in your face . It's got a great chilled vibe , some beautiful artwork and interesting books and blue tooth speaker in the room . We'd recommend and use again , thanks to the team for a pleasant stay , Scott and Carly x

A great place to stay in Margate. Lots of lovely touches around the hotel with local art, archive photographs, Haekels soaps, guide books and books written or inspired by Margate. We'll definitely come back again some time.

Couldn?t be more happy after our stay at the lovely Fort Road Hotel. Fantastic location, right on the sea front and the best service. Staff were all so friendly and attentive. We even brought the kids and everything went smoothly with our adjoining rooms.

We spent Christmas here in a sea view room. The hotel is gorgeous, very tastefully decorated and everything was top quality from the beds and bed linen to the wonderful toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel was full but we didn?t hear a peep from anyone else. We have eaten here before so know the food is good and our Christmas dinner didn?t disappoint. I have to make special mention of the mince pies which were utterly delicious. The staff are very friendly, attentive and efficient. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from everything and there is a car park very nearby. We will definitely be back.

Such a lovely place sitting atop Margate. Service is top notch and the rooms are stylish and cool as well as super clean. Loved the restaurant and bar and could happily never leave! Will definitely be back. Went with my big beagle and he was treated very nicely too. Loved it!

The staff were superbly helpful and efficient. Everything is organised for guests? convenience.Breakfast was excellent albeit coffee could be improved.The rooms were welcoming. Bathroom was spacious and new.The room was quite hot at night so sleep wasn?t the best, but could have been an isolated issue.

Food was nice, however the projectile vomiting that followed was not. Was fobbed off by management with a third party "investigation" that concluded that they had done nothing wrong. I know food poisoning when I get it! Two of the party of four that ate the same both ill in the night? It is not a coincidence and they must know they have shoddy hygiene for this to have happened to us both. Will not be visiting this place again.

We loved staying at Fort Road Hotel! The room was lovely and tasteful, the staff was friendly, and we could see the beach from our window. Breakfast was delicious, too! We would definitely come back again.

Stayed in the hotel mid week - highly recommended. Clean rooms, tastefully decorated, friendly and helpful staff and interesting menu with some unusual dishes. The hotel has fairly recently opened so is new and fresh. Great location within old town.

The hotel is really special, individual and the staff are all extending kind and helpful. I took my 5 year old daughter for two nights in half term. They provided a smaller bed for her and both beds were really big and comfortable. The hotel is warm, simple and luxurious. The food is really good too, cinnamon pancakes for breakfast were a favourite. I highly recommend this hotel for singles, couples and small families. It is 5 minutes walk to the beach and Turner Gallery and 5 minutes to all the great restaurants , cafes and bars. We will definitely come again.

A beautiful Boutique hotel. They have done a fantastic job of redecorating in a tasteful, traditional but updated and modern style. Very comfortable beds, good quality trea and coffee in the room. I foudn the service to be great and the staff very friendly and accompdating. I have very strict dietary requirments and the kitchen staff were willing to accomodate and do above and beyond so that I could stick to my routine. THANK YOU!!! YOU MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!

My stay was fantastic in every respect! The rooms, the views, the bed and the pillows were all wonderful. Breakfast was simply excellent and the staff were as helpful as I have seen. Wonderful to see this historic building being put to such good use. I highly recommend it.
