Very good location (close to the beach). Clean and tidy. Very nice service. The room was well equipped but could be a bit larger. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sea from our window. The price is adequate to the quality.

I experienced this hotel by watching 'Four in a bed'The owner Faruq put me off. So pretentious and pompous. Just a big act to look upper class and intelligent. The prices were ridiculous.

We ate at the restaurant and it was fantastic, the most beautiful roast and desserts. If we were local we would be regulars :) well done all!

Lovely & clean. Comfortable room facing the sea. Staff friendly & helpful. Despite other reviews, my friend & I who are cleanliness experts, pulled our room apart & could not find fault. Only minor issues were stair carpets could do with a clean. However, as that bears the brunt of visitor traffic, we suggest replacing for a more suitable hotel pattern pile, which would hide this.We will be staying here again ??

Lovely hotel, great views, fantastic location, good value.Clean rooms, just two single beds pushed together is a shame, spent the night sleeping in the hole.

Have to say this was an absolute disappointment, very expensive for what you get the rooms are no different to any other hotel, actually others are far better if you compare like for like, would love to have marked for breakfast but there was none and no real explanation as to why, even though still charged for it. We went the Premier Inn up the road which was far better value and cleaner plus you can get breakfast and save yourself over a £100 and enjoyed our night

the owner is very very rude the room was dirty and breakfast was total rubbish if you like bad hotels this is for you

Very expensive for what it is. Room was OK and the bed was comfortable but wasn't worth £274 for one night. Then to be told there wasn't any breakfast after the booking saying it included breakfast was very disappointing. The excuse was no chef, looking at other reviews it appears they haven't had one for some time now, I dont buy it, how hard is breakfast, its clearly a commercial decision that should be highlighted at the booking stage. Noisy too, was woken up by other guests getting in at 4am stomping around. I'm not sure it's the 4 star it claims to be especially if they don't offer breakfast. . Overall I would not go back nor would I recommend.

Wonderful location on sea front at the highest end of the harbour - also perfect for exploring Cliftonville and Northtown Rd - a quaint, cosy and clean hotel with pretty rooms. The staff - Justine and Michaela - couldn't do enough to help us. Really friendly, gave us local tips and helped us get ready for Pride after we'd checked out by letting us use the Bar toilets! Helped us with our bags and taxis - really kind, fun and helpful. A great place with lots of heart.

It is what it is. A room with a view We checked in at three. Left at about 3.30pm to go for a late lunch and see a show at Dreamland. Returned to the hotel at 11.00pm and checked out at 9.00am the next morning. It had no restaurant or breakfast facilities. The staff , the little we saw of them were amenable, the room reasonably clean and tidy. It was though very expensive, albeit in high season, at £220 for what it had to offer

A hotel should not be called a hotel if they do not serve breakfast. Despite their website stating that they serve a daily breakfast, this is not the case. It was not mentioned whilst booking, nor when I checked in and was asked to pay the full amount, which I did. Only the next morning when I asked where the breakfast room was did I hear that they have not served breakfast for some time now. In addition, the sash window in my room overlooking the courtyard could not be closed so I was able to enjoy the sounds of the all-night party in said courtyard. My complaints were simply brushed away by all staff. Their website claims that they are a four-star hotel. Two would be over-generous.

Location is good with some nice bars, pubs and restaurants as well as town centre all nearby. Room was large and facing sea. Comfortable bed. Blinds meant room was quite light early in morning (summer stay) . Door on bathroom didn't shut properly. Staff very pleasant and hotel was generally clean. However describes itself as boutique (would disagree with this description) and 200 per night for room was expensive, with no breakfast as part of this price. Not as negative as some reviews and would stay again if cheaper price (140-160 ?).

Well i was VERY disappointed with my stay, i will start with the positives. The hotel was very clean, the room was fairley pleasant, quite spacious, tea, coffee, water all included, staff were friendly, and quite helpful, and the hotel itself was quite well situated, shame about the rundown and shut winter garden's opposite which did spoil the view a bit, but that is not the hotels fault admittedly, The sea view is lovely. I think this is where the positives ended for me personally. Now the negatives. The smoke alarm in the room was clearly broken, in a building of this age that was quite concerning, the stairs are steep and narrow, and we were placed right at the top, which is a long way up, no offer to help with our luggage and no lift or disabled help available at all, the hotel needs to remember not all disabilities are visible at first sight, the room cost us £140 for the night, and no breakfast included or even available, and if it was we wasn't informed, i did ask the night staff and was told no chef to cook, again do you really need a qualified chef to cook a breakfast or at least offer a continental breakfast. I assume the hotel did have wifi, but information how to access this was not provided in the room, and we didn't really fancy negotiating all those stairs again to gonto reception to find out. The shower was also not very powerful, it was a shower...just but any less pressure it wouldn't of been much more than a dribble. The iron was crap, tried to iron a shirt and even on full power it struggled to get creases out, it was little more than a travel iron with no option for steam. No front door key provided, yes the staff let you in, but most people prefer the freedom to come and go without ringbells and disturbing people, especially late at night, and the room key is on a keyring about the sive of a sheet of A4, very impracticable when going out, does not fit in your pocket. No parking All in all i would not stay here again, it was overpriced with a lack of facilities and services

If it was £90-£120 then this tiny room overlooking the bar and a garage would have been acceptable however for £180 (and no breakfast included) we were left disappointed. We go to Margate a fair bit but will not return here. When talking about it in a local pub the waitress seemed to know exactly what hotel we were talking about. The bar was dark and empty when we arrived so we went out. Other than that the staff were very helpful and nice (we had few issues as no bottled water was available and the safe wouldnt lock).

We had booked online direct with the hotel and had an email confirmation. When we arrived the hotel said they had no booking on the system and could not help us. We had booked online and had the email confirmation printed and this was shown to them and yet still nothing could be done. The manager was off site and it was left to the reception guy to deal with who could not and did not. I would advise NOBODY to use this establishment.
