Very nice clean restaurant, polite staff , the food was terrible cold , not sure when it was cooked but something needs sorting there complete waste of money when I told the staff all the food was cold the reply was I think I know why , that was it so I won't be returning anytime soon

Maidstone Wimpy has had a revamp, and it's looking good!
The food tastes the same as it always has, and the staff are friendly and efficient.
Now, if you are in your 50s, go in and re-live your youth. Same atmosphere, same good and 80's music playing. Wonderful, loved it.

I have come here a couple of times and got served by Harry , the food here is great and the staff are friendly, would definitely recommend, Harry is very hard working and friendly

Hadn't been here in years but was looking at the menu online and wanted to give it a go. Was not disappointed! The atmosphere was nice, not spectacular but after all it's a burger restaurant. Staff were friendly, they seat you and take your order. Waiting time was not long. Food came out and actually looked like the photos on the menu (unlike certain other famous burger places) and the food was good, and they accommodate any little changes you ask for (I wanted a white roll instead of brown one). And the price was very reasonable. Will go back again. The only negative was the milkshake machine wasn't working!

We haven't been here for years, way before the takeover and refurbishment, as the wife is particular with regards to having vegetarian food and chips cooked with meat products, the owner/cook came over and explained what they do and she was reassured and happy with experience.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Overall cannot complain whatsoever and happy to came back.
Vegetarian options: Colour coded vegetarian food so it is easier to see instead of hunting around the menu.

Very disappointing. We went in for a drink and a meal as a bit of nostalgia. Ordered a drink but weren't ready to order the meal. The waitress said she would come back. Never did. Didn't order food and will not bother again.

First visit to this wimpy since its re-opening.
Unfortunately, due to staffing issues, there were complications and longer waits during our visit.
I would like to say that the gentlemen?s who took our order, delivered our drinks, cooked our food and took are payment was doing a fantastic job- holding the fort all by himself. I can only imagine the stress he was under with other customers chasing their food or correct orders- but being on his own (for whatever reason) he done the best he could do.
When you ask for a side of sauce now it is given to you in a tiny paper cup?- this does not have enough sauce for customers needs, so should be re assessed.
We also purchased a bottle of burger sauce when we left the establishment today.
You never get a second chance to make a good first impression, so I hope that they are able to sort out their staffing issue before they lose more custom

We popped here for a bite to eat on my daughter?s birthday, such wonderful and friendly staff (they even offered my daughter a free dessert to celebrate which was so kind and made her day). The place is super clean, we enjoyed sitting in a little booth, and we all ate some seriously good grub (fish burger, chicken burgers and sweet potato friends), very well priced too! would def visit again next time we are in Maidstone, esp for the friendly staff as that really makes a place worth visiting <3 x

Hadn't been in a wimpy in many years, thought I'd give a try as it's been refurbished and new owners, must say very nice! Most certainly choose this over McDonald's in the future., had very nice waiter by the name of Oscar.

I'm giving this review whilst the restaurant is closed (22.9.24). . . How long will the place be closed for, as it seems to be forever this particular Wimpy has been shut due to refurbishment. . . . . Please open soon, as not everyone likes a MaccyD or other burgers. Some of us miss the spicy bean burger and other items on your menu. . . .

First of all I want to preface this by saying the employees here are lovely and do a fantastic job.
My issue is with the company, the quality of products issued for said staff to prepare, as well as the warped perception the company has of value for money.
We ordered: 2 cheeseburgers which tasted like they were frozen cheap patties from Iceland.
A quorn chicken burger (not bad but basic)
A sausage and egg muffin (also actually not bad)
3 portions of chips which were basic frozen fries and not a huge amount. Less the half the plate.
Onion rings which tastes like big standard frozen mass produced ones from a cash and carry.
4 x fizzy drinks which tasted watery.
SIXTY EIGHT POUNDS.
What has the world come to?
Again, can?t fault the service or the cooking of the ingredients - but the food was basic frozen rubbish from the 70s and is priced as if it?s a steakhouse. Madness. Won?t be coming again.
Vegetarian options: It?s all cooked from frozen. You?ll have the same experience going to the supermarket and buying a pack of quorn.
