Nice pub with good choice of beer, have eaten here before and it's very expensive. Staff can be a little off at times but everyone has a bad day. Great Garden.

Nice pub. We once went here for dinner and I got a lasagna. There is a small stream next door, which my cousins played in. (I'm not sure how clean it is)

Ate here a while back, much nicer then.
Rib eye wasn't available , substituted for 1 of us .. so others had to choose something else from menu.
Steak fajita was chewy.
Scotch egg very overdone.
Waitress not the cheeriest.
Lovely setting by the river, but probably wouldn't eat there again.

Nice pub in a village location by a stream. Fairly big garden (gravelled), no parking only on street and kerbs very high, not very suitable for disabled. Went on a warm Saturday eve so very busy in garden and quite noisy, seemed to attract a younger crowd, would go back though

Beautiful and tranquil settings a perfect place to relax and enjoy this perfect little village.

We live up the hill from Chequers and have eaten there numerous times with lots of different friends.
We've had most of the menu between us, including Sunday Roast, Burgers, Fajita's and sausage and mash.
The food has been amazing every time and the service is always fantastic.
Cesca our last waitress had just started and was extremely friendly and efficient.
