Went in semi-open-minded, thinking of getting 2 or 3 gerbils. But they rightfully wouldn't sell until we had a cage, which they were out of stock of. But after lots of talking and reading, we changed our minds and got two adorable guinea pigs, being confident we could provide a happy home for the pair of bros. The staff were very informative and helpful and did a lot of due diligence to check we could give the animals a good life and understood their needs. Bedding and toys for rodents and small pets is good value for money. I would say they had a slightly smaller selection of animals than expected, e.g. only 4 gerbils and no rats or mice (lovely animals who have an unfairly bad rep). But loads of lovely guinea pigs and rabbits!!
If you haven't got a trusted spacious suitable and safe environment for a small animal, be prepared to spend around £50 for a good side indoor cage, £10 for excellent bedding, £10 for food and treats, and £20 for grooming and toys, even before you get an animal. Most hamsters are solitary and cost about £13, guinea pigs and rabbits are about £30 each but usually need to be bought in pairs. Gerbils were £10 I think but you should get 2 or 3 at least as a group of friends.
I didn't look at the fish stuff sorry! But the dog and cat treats/toys/handling tools etc looked like a great selection and the many dog owners seemed very happy in this shop

Staff are only interested in hiking your vets bills, making an already stressful time even worse. We love our pets, but cannot afford the current vet costs. It's amazing how the vets fees have risen since the COVID lockdowns when more and more people went out and purchased pets for companionship.
