We just went here and bought items worth £90+ so according to this post we're eligible to have the free sunscreen. We went back and asked their staff about it and yes we can claim it from the cashier just show the receipt. The miss ?store manager? We?re not sure if she is, has fixed it and the funny part is in the end she asked if we have a Matalan card ? and when we said NO she started to get mad about it and said WE JUST WAISTED HER TIME. (Well same here Miss Manager) . I am ranting not because we didn't get the suncream, It's just that we are exasperated by how she treated us the moment she knew we didn?t have the membership card. YOU SHOULD HAVE MAKE IT CLEAR FROM THE FIRST PLACE. It?s not even stated in this post that this is VALID ONLY FOR MATALAN CARD HOLDERS. You even LAUGH AT US INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING HOW RUDE YOU ARE MISS. Matalan Train your staff to be professional she gets grumpy so easily ?

This is one of the nicest and cleanest Matalan shops I've seen in a long time. It has a good range of clothing and other items in stock. Very nice service in there as well.

Me and my Mrs joke about this place. I walk around shouting, "Cash or card? " at her, just like the staff do. It's such an uncomfortable shopping experience. You cannot browse items anywhere near the checkout, without a member of staff shouting, "Cash or card?" at you. It's so irritating. Like they're trying to get rid of you.I was in there yesterday. I was just browsing while my partner was actually being served by a human being. I walked over to my partner, but before I got to her, the girl serving her shouted, "Cash or card?" at me. I said, "I'm not buying anything".If they weren't aware of how rude, rather than helpful this is, you should tell them. We can all see the self service set up. We're not thick, so can you please stop talking to us and treating us like idiots?

I love a matalan but this one doesn't have a big range of stock so ended up looking on their website
