Shopping in Home Bargains Maidstone and have been served several times by a very polite member of staff called Tom. He is always friendly and helpful and today I asked for his name, which he kindly gave me.

Im a frequent visitor of home bargains. This store has lots of free parking and the staff are always helpful and professional.

Never any baskets when u enter the store... and then you get served by someone with a headset who scans your shopping and totally ignore you while they talk to there colleagues over there headset. Customer service is disgusting.

Witnessed a polite young lady being dismissed by the cashier today at Home Bargains Maidstone just after 8am. The cashier opened her till and the young lady went to that till. 5 very loud girls pushed past her and asked to be served first as they were in a rush. I was appalled by the cashier today as she served them while completely ignoring the timid and polite young lady who was in the queue first, waiting her turn. The girls burst into laughter looking at the young girl. I was appalled as the cashier who as an adult should have stopped the bullying but instead she punished the young girl for being polite by making her wait. She didn?t even give the young girl her receipt after she paid and dismissed her once again. Shame on you Home Bargains for encouraging such bullying behaviour.

A very nice store. A large range since the refit. Tills always busy but cope well. Avoid the sausage rolls, they are too nice. Avoid J.C.B. batteries they are rubbish, go flat almost overnight. Same experience on two different sizes.

I love this store. Small but stocks a wide range of items and always has what I'm looking for at great prices.
This store has changed from a small store to a very big one with extra lines of items and products. Same old with more deals.
Found out that they do kefir drink which has become my go to drink for gut cleansing

A frequent experience I have when going into to my local Home Bargains in Maidstone is the distinctive smell of genuine faeces greeting me and many others every single time I walk in there (ongoing issue since it expanded). As I walk through the shop, the pungent smell intensifies and as I look up I see on various occasions people and students with their noses covered which is proof I am not the only one that has recognised this odour. I think this is extremely worrying, especially as a food hygiene standard to put 1. The food and products they are selling at risk 2. The employees well-being and 3. The customers experience in the shop. I believe Home bargains should investigate this immediately as I and many others find the smell very disturbing and until this issue is solved I will be opting for different stores to go to instead, with a more pleasantly scented environment.

First visit since refurbishment. Really well laid out with spacious aisles. Didn't give this a 5 because of the rude staff member at Till No 1, Jeanette I believe her name was. She didn't even acknowledge us. She spoke in her headset to another member of staff but didn't even tell us what we needed to pay or thank us or even say goodbye. She was an older lady so was really surprised she had no manners. Hope this review gets looked at by Home Bargains so that maybe they can offer some customer service training.

If you are nearby, this is a good shop for all sorts of things....hardware...some gardening items... toiletries and some basic foods. Very reasonable prices.
This store has been extended to twice the size recently. Ample car parking.

Budget and quality products all at very reasonable prices. Probably something for every part of your home and garden, plus of course many other things to buy. Plenty of free parking spaces in the area..
