Seem to be very racist. I went through 3x rounds of interview stages, passing with flying colours at each stage. When I got to the final stage with the branch manager, he was very much rude, condescending and short with me for no apparent reason. He didn?t offer me the job & claimed that it was because he didn?t know why I wanted to go into recruitment, even though I clearly outlined and explained why to him throughout our lengthy interview. Prior to this, however, I did receive positive email responses from another member of the team wishing me all the best for this particular role, yet heard no response back from Sarah Day even after several attempts of trying to get in contact with her before the final interview took place. Managers from the other branches who interviewed/ assessed me obviously saw potential in me otherwise they wouldn?t have expressed how impressed they were with my performance- so Jake clutching at straws to find a reason not to hire me only speaks volumes. I have noticed that even though Hays claims to be diverse & inclusive this branch in particular seems to have no black people/ women in it at all. But I can?t say I?m surprised for a Maidstone branch. Long story short- I?m overqualified for the role yet was treated lesser than by Jake Kennedy who?d only been the role for a month & didn?t seem to know what he was doing.

Advertise jobs with an immediate start then after an initial contract you never hear from them again, yet they still keep advertising the same jobs which most likely don?t exist.

I read all the bad reviews about this company and still decided ti give them a try. I dealt with Paul Joyce the manager who was so rude and unprofessional.They don't pay In time or mess up your hours worked 8 hours a day and only got £55 per day. Would not give them a chance there's so many better alternatives that won't mess you about.

First impression great staff when they offer you jobs but when you have a problem or question and try to call they don?t answer. Problems with the hours, Hays Maidstone don?t pay all money: they blame employers but don?t check how many days you worked and when you send them the proof they don?t say nothing and send you to fix alone the problems.

Gavin and Jodie provided me with amazing guidance and service when I worked with them, and I am really grateful for having the opportunity to work with them. I was impressed by their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to answering my questions from our very first encounter.I must say that Gavin and Jodie are true professionals who genuinely care about their workers. Been waiting nearly 4 weeks for one days money owed. Yet they keep messaging me offering work. And now rather than pay me they have removed me from they're system. Says everything you need to know about the morality of these people

Terrible experience with Jodie Turner at Hays.When I started my temporary assigned, I was informed by the onsite supervisor that hours are 3 per shift. I completed my hours and timesheets per week on time. 3 MONTHS into my assignment and I was told I was putting the incorrect hours on my timesheeet and infact was only meant to submit 2.5hours. When I queried why this was not flagged up immediately, I was told "they had done" so effectively accusing me of fraud.I found the original job post which confirmed my hours. I also went through ALL email correspondence to find NO written confirmation of my hours or the subsequent changes to my hours.To my shock, I was sent an email from Jodie Turner (consultant) claiming to include my hours to only be 2.5 per week. When I myself check my inbox and found the same email, there was NO MENTION of my hours in the original, which means she fraudulently amended the email to try and dismiss my claim.Due to this, the employer has removed me from my assignment for 'submission of incorrect hours'.Jodie's behaviour and attitude to this has been to call me 'ridiculous' whilst also laughing over the phone.SHOCKING AGENCY, SHOCKING CONSULTANT! Be careful!

Disgusting agency to work with. I started a role and was told by employment advisor Zara Biggs 'We are different from the rest and wont let you down'. Well this turned out to be completely false and just the usual dialogue to get you signed up to their agency.I started a full time permanent job - within 2 weeks I was called by the agency and told that I was not needed anymore and dropped. I had no idea why. I enjoyed the role and worked hard. I explained to Zara that I have children and a mortgage to pay and felt shocked the agency had left me high and dry when they promised they wouldn't.I was not paid my travel expenses. I have handed in my timesheet and spoken with the manager at Maidstone branch. It has been over a month since they last contacted me about my mileage money. I have give up chasing now.If you want to be paid on time and have some kind of job security avoid Hays like the plague. The Maidstone office is run by liars and crooks.
