Without notice, my reliable Clarks of a couple years failed me on Friday 5th of April, and developed a hole in the stitching on the side, on the way to work, so I decided to get a new pair that eveving. Hoping to have them for work Monday morning if possible. Clarks to the rescue.
After looking on the website I found these Brandon laces in size 12 which were a new release and thought I'd check them out. So bought them online to be delivered to store. As they were brand new release it looks like they had them in stock in that store as they were ready to be collected on Saturday (next day) which normally isn't the case. So I went in store and tried them on. Very comfortable indeed. I even managed to get an online NHS discount.
The lady in-store was very helpful and was patient whilst I tried on the shoes too ensure they were suitable before leaving the store. So very happy with the overall service from online purchase, to quick readiness, to in-store collection.
Background- I have wide feet and have to wear soft soles due being on my feet all day at work, as well as having issues with my heels which require me to wear soft soles. Clarks have always been my go to for work wear as I always know what I'm getting with them despite whatever price tag they hold. They are always comfortable, reliable and look professional when it comes to work wear. I also but other footwear from them but on this occasion it was purely for work.
I've out on some leather cream, just need to gauge them a good polish now.

I just wanted to post to praise the wonderful lady Carol who works in this store.I visited previously with my older daughter to sort shoes for starting secondary school. This can be quite a challenge. Carol measured her feet and went out of her way to help.We deliberately went to Maidstone today hoping Carol might be able to help with our youngest 5 years with ASD. Carol immediately went to aid us, measuring and assisting us in shoes to help. This could have been so challenging. Carol was fantastic and so understanding and supportive of our daughters needs.. We will definitely return.

Wouldn't recommend, buyed shoes that was worth it 90 pounds and it turn out they were actually killing my foots, unfortunately wasn't able to exgange or refund as I wore them but if I wouldn't wore them for a walk I wouldn't had the issue I had, definitely I won't but from this company anymore.

When I purchased some school shoes in store on Monday an older looking lady there I found to be quite rude but ignored that as the young guy assisting me was very helpful and polite. Today however I was appalled at how uninformative the two members of staff were. I had made the journey into town to exchange the shoes but was told they couldn't give me a refund or exchange as they didn't know when their manager Carol would be back off her lunch break. I therefore had a totally wasted trip and cost of parking and petrol for nothing. All due to bad management so would in future encourage anyone I speak to to shop at Golden Boot instead as the staff are always helpful and can do things like refunds and exchanges!The two young girls reluctantly sent a text to their manager asking when she would be back back she didn't bother to answer the assistant.Very poor and would have expected alot more from Clark's.

My father and I had a negative experience at this branch which we feel was because of our ethnicity. The staff was vile towards us, swore at us and chased us out the store while she gladly assisted other customers. I'm giving 2 stars because of the corrective actions clarks took after viewing the video on social media and the fact that Im experiencing PTSD from her behaviour. Ordinarily I would've given 1 star. I believe this store would benefit from diversity and inclusion training and diversifying their work force to encourage positive interactions with their diverse customer base.

God forbid you should want to return something in store. Manager of the Maidstone store was hugely put out that I was returning an item purchased online to the store. Saying ?they?ve tried to make your life and my life easier by getting you to return it by post not bring it in here ? sighing and huffing ?I?ll have to wait for a till now? I remained silent for all the exchange. I was in town so thought what could be more convenient for me , I know. I?ll take these shoes back while I?m there. Meanwhile the shop floor assistant was very helpful, smiley luckily doesn?t take after the management. I do apologise that I was such an inconvenience to you. The whole situation took no more than 4 mins so I?m unsure how this was such a drama for you. I?ll go to golden boot in future.
