I held my fathers wake here as he had been a customer since the 1950's. Keeley Dan and Alison were amazing and very helpful. The food was outstanding and lots of positive comments about it. I could not have wished for a better send off for him. Thank you.

Nice simple pub. Stayed the night but didn?t eat there. Room was good other than quite a lot of background noise all night

Went here for a birthday meal. Meal wasn't nice at all. Salmon overcooked, mash was minimal, cold & lumpy, veg was meant to be fresh but was frozen, fried eggs were so overcooked, frozen fries reheated, so altogether not a nice experience. Felt sorry for the waitress as she was so apologetic. Will definitely not be returning

Very poor meal tonight. Menu has been reduced, not as advertised on the website. Not such a selection. Sausage and mash was more like a child's portion with two tiny chipolatas. No peas or anything. Scampi was overcooked. Filled the plates out with loads of chips. My brother in laws burger had a hair in it (didn't tell us until on the way home).
The staff were very friendly and Keely was a fab waitress. Just a shame about the food.

A very comfortable and welcoming pub with good food and beer
Staff excellent and new chef first class.
Would happily recommend without hesitation.

We had a lovely meal at the Rising Sun Inn for a family member's birthday. The food was delicious, the service and staff were all great, super friendly and helpful and made the birthday girl feel really special. Thank you all.

Kitchen unclean. I had pork belly the veg was cold, stale and obviously cooked the day before and reheated. Only good thing was the young lovely waitress. Very polite and cheerful.
My husband had ribs and chips . It was ok. Sorry but won't be returning
