the food is nice but little bit pricey.
the service is very mediocre with 1 or 2 staff members who are nice and want to talk the rest just don?t bother having a conversation and seem moody.
the atmosphere could improve with just some mellow music or some sports being played on the multiple televisions in there( or anything at all)
lastly the website needs to be updated with closing times as today it says it shuts at 11pm everyday but today (sunday) it shuts at 9pm.

A wonderful country pub with lots of character. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was very good, reasonably priced and generous portions.

In an Airbnb opposite, thought this would be perfect for dinner, tried to ring at about 6.49 to reserve a table, no answer so literally crossed the road at 7.30 to find they?d shut the kitchen!! Not sure it had ever opened

Really grateful that although staff were really busy, they made us feel welcome. I overheard them offering extra of another meat when the 'mixed' carvery was unavailable. Our Fish and Chips was the best I'd had in a long time and I'm definitely going back for food! We go for drinks regularly but honestly cannot recommend the food/chef enough!

Absolutely nuts pricing, seriously, almost £10 for 4 small vegetable spring rolls that could have come from a freezer for all I care. £5 for a pint of diet coke too. The food is fine it's just ridiculous prices, and there is multiple non plant-bassd options under the plant-bassd section on the menu.

Really good service from the staff. The main course was very underwhelming though. I ordered the homemade pie but it was just 1 small slice, not an actual pie and for £18.95 I would expect more of the main dish.
Also £3.60 for a pint of lime cordial and soda water is criminal.
