Very unfriendly, bossy staff. Waitress was licking her fingers whilst serving customers. Obviously understaffed and cannot cope.

Really nice place with a garden. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service was also very fast and kind. Great stop after a long road trip.

Pretty place. Poor food.
Fish pie had very little fish, runny sauce made mash runny. Pavlova wasn't, was large meringue bun thing with cream over, 2 small pieces mango and tiny drizzle of passionfruit couli. I won't bother coming again. The reviews seem to be of special meals, eg Christmas and valentine's. So maybe that's when to come. I didn't complain as it was a date, no wish to spoil things so don't bother telling me I should have said at the time. Not somewhere I would take someone I wanted to treat, or for a good meal . Rather brusque waitress informed me espresso coffee didn't usually come with milk, I thought she was going to refuse to let me have the little jug of milk I had asked for! As I told my chum, when I worked in Paris I learned to ask for food how I wanted it. Odd.

My wife and I booked a table today staff we're great we had garlic bread calamari for starters then fillet steak ribeye steak beef dripping gravy onion rings halloumi on the side and it was all perfect beautiful and we've booked for Christmas eve as well

Really nice pub, have been a few times now, across seasons so have experienced sitting in front of the log fire and in the garden. Will be visiting again!
