The food was OK though it was very spicy. The music was way too loud and when we asked them to turn it down, it was lowered only modestly. Others in the restaurant asked to be moved outside so we did as well. The service was overall good though they didn?t seem very happy that we were asking to be moved outside. Outside was lovely. You have a view of the old church across the street. I think the inside atmosphere set me off. It is dark with mirrors and neon everywhere. Still, I would have the food again, but definitely sit outside.

I?m not sure what I have just eaten, but it wasn?t Indian food. The overwhelming flavours in the veg curries was sugar and coconut. When questioned, the manager was not interested in feedback, he replaced one of the curries but made out he was doing us a big favour. A disappointing end to an otherwise lovely day in Kent.

From the moment we walked into Joshan of Wye, we were impressed. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully set a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. But the real star here is the food. Every dish was bursting with flavour, clearly made with fresh ingredients and a lot of care. The presentation was stunning, and the service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive. It?s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but Joshan of Wye absolutely does. Whether you?re a local or just visiting, this is a must visit restaurant. Highly recommended!

Went to Joshan of Wye with my family and had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely superb full of flavour and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was delicious. The service was brilliant too staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. A lovely atmosphere all round. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality food and a warm, family friendly environment. Would highly recommend. We will be back again soon.

Worst Indian meal we have ever had! The korma curry was swimming in pure water. The mixed grill was a mixture of unidentifiable meats! All overcooked. The various add-ons were delivered in plastic bags and were most unappetising. Most of what was meant to be a little birthday celebration was thrown in the bin. Never again.

Updatd 30th march 25. Revisited. Decor now very different. Food was a bit of a let down. Balti lacked any depth of flavour, just tomatoey taste no other flavourparticularly. Sag aloo just tasted of too much garlic as did tarka deal.
Poppadoms were nice though.
All in all very disappointed for the price of takeaway.
Visited for first time today for take away. The biriyani was nice, as was the balti and tikka massala. Rice was well cooked and fluffy. The poppadoms however had a very strange odour. They smelt like a damp shed! Not pleasant and let the meal down, not sure if the had been recooked or what. Other than that not bad.

Absolutely unacceptable service?this is by far the worst restaurant I?ve ever had the misfortune of ordering from. I placed an online order at 6pm, with the website advising a one-hour wait. I arrived at the restaurant at around 7:10pm, only to be told the food would take another 30 minutes.
With no seating available inside, I waited in the car and returned 40 minutes later, only to find a chaotic scene?a crowd of frustrated customers packed into the tiny bar area, all complaining about the extensive delays and lack of communication. One customer had been waiting nearly 3 hours, while at least 10 others, like myself, had already waited over 90 minutes, only to be told it would take even longer.
I?m genuinely baffled at how a restaurant can be managed so poorly, with such appalling communication and organisation. I requested a refund from the restaurant manager twice, only to be told they couldn?t issue it on site as it was an online order. So here?s hoping I do indeed get a refund from my card provider at least.

We have been here before and it was amazing, not sure if its under new management as didnt recognise any of the staff. Visited on Friday Evening, was seated in a small, cosy space with just 2 tables of 4. Service was absolutely awful. We got there at 7pm, got our food at 8.40pm, no apologies and just kept saying they were busy - there were empty tables. The table next to us got their food before us even tho they came in after us, they did tell the waiters but were ignored, it was so awkward for them but we managed to laugh about it. Their food was also an hour wait and the staff kept hovering taking plates when they were done and rushing them through their meal. When we did get the food, it wasn't hot (not cold either), Sag Aloo was just basically potatoes, no spinach and the table next to us had the opposite (lots of spinach, no potatoes), Tikka Masala was more like a korma, other Curry's were tasty but I was past hungry by this point. Again, staff were hovering whilst we were eating to clear plates. When the restaurant called to confirm the table, I was told 10% off the Friday but they argued that it was cash only and had the cheek to put a £15 service charge on (we didn't pay it). There was a young lad who was very polite and looked slightly embarrassed but the rest of the staff were just rude and when we asked a question they basically didn't respond with anything else other than very busy.
So disappointing, we were really looking forward to it but we won't be going back.
