Rich man prices, poor mans food... Absolutely shocking... anemic latte which was basically a glass of warm milk. On asking for some coffee to be added it was litterally a sprinkling of maxwell house instant - undrinkable. The food was just as bad... i order poached eggs with crushed avocado and actually received something which more resembled boiled eggs (over boiled poached) and crushed avocado smothered in sunflower seeds. In edible. This along with a beans/toast and additional coffee for partner and a can of coke came to pennies under £30. Total rip off for the quality of food. Never again.

Not very friendly when you arrive. Coffee wasn't hot They just went and put it in the microwave. Prices are quite high. Food doesn't seem to be that of a village cafe.

Lovely place but be prepared to wait as it's freshly cooked. Coffee was lovely and bacon nice and thick.

I was on a cycle ride from Whitstable to Rochester which took me via Iwade where decided to stop for lunch at the Mews Brewhouse. (Ideal for cyclists as bike rack is located right outside). The lunchtime menu included either Eggs Benedict or the Avocado Smash so I opted for the latter. It was delicious and surprisingly filling as well as reasonably priced. The young guy serving at the counter and waiting on tables was really polite and welcoming - he almost persuaded me to have a tempting slice of coffee and walnut cake but I had to resist because of needing to ride on afterwards! During a quieter moment, the chef and proprietress came out of the kitchen and chatted to customers and was likewise really friendly and helpful. There was a nice relaxed family atmosphere and a couple of young children enjoyed eating with mums and grandparents. All very clean and tidy, wouldn't hesitate to come here again! We love it here, so does our little dogo. Owner is such a lovely person and always such a great vibe. However, the only thing that brings my review down to a 4 star, is the price. For a breakfast for me and my partner, a drink each and a treat for the dog, its always nearly £30. Way too pricey which has result in us not showing up as much. Bring the prices down a tad and we will be regular customers again ?

Really friendly service. We visit after a lengthy playtime over at the park. Proper door stop sandwiches with a salad and crisps. Just how it should be. The iced coffee frappe (I think) was amazing, far better than Starbucks. I had my hands full with a 3 month old and 22 month old and the ladies were so lovely chatting with my eldest to keep him happy. Looking forward to working my way through the menu

Lovely place to go. Very friendly and accommodating staff, tables have little games you can play (like Dominoes, Kerplunk, Naughts & Crosses etc.), food is lovely, it?s all clean and tidy, and it?s just a general nice atmosphere all round. Definitely recommend!

I only had a coffee, but it was of good quality. Of the food I saw being ordered it all looked really nice - honest "local café" fare. Nice touch to put board games on the table to keep any youngsters occupied. There's an outside area away from the road too. It's now on my "stop during a bike ride" list. Entrance in the square away from the quiet road.
