I like waitrose at hythe, we come to the store about every two weeks to stock up on foods a little bit dearer than your high street supermarkets.I gave it four stars because it always seems cold in temperature in there at winter time.

A much more comfortable shop than ours in Saltash, where it is bitterly cold sometimes. The toilets are smarter and the café too. Why is our shop so neglected?The staff are always friendly and helpful in all Waitrose stores in our experience.

A regrettable ordeal. I visited the store to purchase ingredients for an evening meal and other items and used their app to scan my items. But at checkout, a pop-up demanded I rescan everything, to which I begrudgingly agreed. Yet, the rescan failed multiple times. A courteous staff member tried to help, but the management seemed clueless. Despite rescanning everything again, the app remained still unresponsive. What's the purpose of such an app when it only makes customers feel at fault? In the end, eventually I processed everything manually. The final insult? They handed me a paltry bunch of their cheapest flowers as a supposed "compensation" for the hassle. No discount, no apology?just flowers that found their way into the trash bin.Waitrose responded by whitewashing the complaint and making it more about the random rescan, not the fact that we tried multiple times in that store and it still would not work.
