I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times, staff are marvellous and can?t do enough for you. Rooms are very comfortable and you?re guaranteed a very good night?s sleep. I recently attended one of their tribute nights and unfortunately was very disappointed, the food was ok, nothing special and the chicken breast for the main course was so tough you really needed a steak knife to cut it! Also the cost of drinks are so much more expensive in the bar where this was held, which is very wrong as the bar one flight of stairs down is cheaper and much more acceptable. The spa area is lovely, but is looking as though it needs a bit of TLC. All in all a lovely stay, but I would never attend another tribute night, far too costly for drinks and food not good value.

Our 3rd visit through past 7 years. Lovely sea view from 4th floor room. Nice breakfast. Plenty of polite and efficient staff throughout which is a bonus these days. Only £15 residents rate for golf. Very pleased with leisure facilities- good size gym and pool. Water was actually warm(ish)! Steam room/sauna/jacuzzi ALL in working order which also feels like a bonus

Great hotel lovely rooms very cleanOur room was spacious, confortable and nice. The bathroom was lovely too with a jungle shower. Everything was really clean. The swimming pool is a nice size for an hotel and has enough depth for a real swim. The changing rooms are a bit dated but again very clean.Breakfast is served in the Coast restaurant which has absolutely no view on the sea. That was our only disappointment.

Our first visit here and we had the best time for our Valentine?s getaway. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful. Located right by Hythe beach. It was just a shame the weather was so foggy and rainy that we couldn?t properly appreciate our sea view! Our room was clean, spacious, modern and had everything we needed. We made use of the spa facilities and pool area which again are clean and well kept. We also had massages too which were so lovely! We only had one small issue where our bathroom blind cord broke. However after reporting this to reception within minutes a maintenance man come to our room and sorted the problem quickly. Amazing service!Highly recommend and will return!

We stayed here overnight in half term as it's close to Port Lympne safari park. We had room 209 which is an executive family room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Beautiful rooms, floor to ceiling windows with sea view.Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar and staff were lovely as was the food. Breakfast is simple buffet style but nice nonetheless. We did use the pool in the morning which was small, used by health club members mainly. It was OK for a quick swim and use of the steam room etc but this part of the hotel must be due an upgrade soon as seemed a little shabby.Overall a great stay. Quiet rooms. Lovely staff. Would like to go back again in warmer weather and make use of that access to the sea front.

Very corporate now, preferred the old style decor and waiter service, with modernization the old style charm disappeared.Food & drinks: Hotel prices, overpriced at the bar.

Nice bedrooms but too hot and noisy...a big chiller runs all night, outside.Downstairs is spacious but tasteless. My girlfriend left a silver ring and a nightshirt in the room. She called them on the day we left and then called two more times, on each subsequent day, before someone bothered to got back to her. They gave her the runaround and were "rude and dismissive" according to my girlfriend. After three days a staff member said they looked in the room, and asked the cleaner, but found nothing. What's really shocking about this story is that when she wrote a review about this incident, they told her to delete the review or they would sue her for slander. The hotel's assistant director wrote "this is slander as you have no proof that it went missing at the hotel yet."Why are they so afraid of truthful reviews? And why can't they just be nice about it? Why these bullying tactics? Some people are too proud and arrogant to ever apologiseNoteworthy details: Bullying management tactics after we reported a missing ring.

Great location, spa needs an update, but the staff, particularly Barney (spa) are amazing.

Hythe itself is a beautiful, quaint village that is yet unspoiled. There are still unique shops and businesses that haven't been overrun by the big chains, there is a market in the high street and fantastic festivals and farmers' markets in the surrounding parks and fields. The hotel is of a very high standard. The rooms are great, the breakfast is nice, the views are terrific, as the hotel is located on the sea front and there is a top notch Indian restaurant on-site as well as a spa and swimming pool.

Disabled Access limited in pool and spa area.Firstly, i have NOT visited the health club. However, i rang to make enquiries, as i was thinking of staying at the hotel that the health club is based in, and was interested in using its spa/pool facilities. Therefore this review is purely on the pool and spa facilities. When I rang the hotel itself, the receptionist told me that there is lift access all the way into the spa and pool area. When I then asked them to put me through to the spa/pool area as I had further questions, i found out that the lift only goes so far...Ok, for those who solely rely on a wheelchair, I was told over the phone, that there is a lift that goes down to the changing rooms level, (there is a separate disabled changing room, that has it's own toilet and shower, which is good.)BUT, here is where the problem is, from changing rooms level, there are 4 steps up to the swimming pool level, and though stairs has handrails they DO NOT PROVIDE a ramp nor have permanent ramp access. The pool itself doesn't have a chair hoist. It does have gradual steps that go down into it, and a handrail.I was told there are 2 steps to navigate, to enter the SPA area sauna/steam, from the pool level. The hot tub itself is set into the ground, and has a deep step into it. I think I was told there is a handrail. Therefore depending on mobility levels, and how much physical assistance one could get, would depend on whether this area is accessible to an individual. The staff in the spa do seem friendly and helpful, but something does need to be done to make it far more accessible.
