Visited on a warm Friday afternoon in June 2025- there were a couple of people in, chatting to the barmaid, who promptly jumped up and served us as we came in. Nice old pub interior, big screen on one side so presume there are sports viewing at times but not constantly on which is always good. We sat outside , there are some old picnic benches quite closely packed next to the road, rather than a separate beer garden , but the road isn?t too busy so not unpleasant but certainly not a safe place for young kids - even though there is an old tractor at the front which would be a nice climb on for young children. It looks like the sort of place which is well used by locals, but not unwelcoming to visitors although a little off the beaten track so google is a godsend for them no doubt.
The outside area could do with a tidy up, looks like it?s where they keep equipment for setting up pop up bars etc but this does detract from it a bit.
We didn?t eat so can?t comment on the food, and as a Shepherd Neame pub the keg IPA offerings are limited (for Kent?s oldest brewery which is a shame) but the ?First Drop? we had was ok if lacking in a bit of flavour.
No car park, which could make parking a bit tricky at busy times (I expect some who live local might get a bit narked about people parking outside their houses- but not much other options unfortunately.
Overall a pleasant local pub that looks like it would be cosy in the winter and hopefully we will return to try the food at some point.

Small neat local pub. Didn't have any food, just had a pint of Shepherd Neame Master Brew, which was fine.

What a lovely little pub. Really friendly staff and super relaxed. Only stayed 30 mins but wish I'd stayed there the rest of the night. Definitely going back!

Lovely little traditional pub, with a welcoming landlord and some tasty beer.
Popped in at short notice for a family Sunday lunch. Two young servers were polite and welcoming, although not entirely knowledgeable about their products.
Food came out promptly but was not the best quality and a little overpriced @ £18 for a mushy roast. You Could get a smaller portion for £10, which actually wasn't too bad value.
Roast was about the only food being served on a Sunday, which upset one member of our party as they don't like roast. The team served her some buttered toast (as she requested).

Had a lovely roast dinner here. I had the beef and my partner had pork, both with crispy roat potatoes, caulifower cheese, delicious fresh veg (especially the carrots), home made gravey and yorkshire.
Really tasty food and very welcoming service :)

Just had the most amazing pizza! My partner is Italian so we decided to check out the wood fired pizza. We ordered Sabiccia Nduja, Pepperoni and Margherita, the quality was amazing, clearly made fresh with excellent ingredients. The nduja was nice & spicy, the cheese pull was sublime, topped with fresh chilli?s. Needless to say this will now become a regular haunt!

Great pub with amazing atmosphere. The newly run kitchen by Ben Edwards is great with honest food, competitively priced. I highly recommend a visit and the pizzas are delicious.

We had dinner there today I had 3 meat roast or should I say 3 small slices and 3 of the smallest roast potatoes I wouldn't normally mind but for 24 pounds I expected more. My partner had chicken supreme but there was know supreme sauce I asked the bar staff and she told me the sauce is gravy supreme sauce is not gravy the chicken was so hard on the outside she had to leave it so basically it was a chicken dinner for 18 pound so for 42 pounds never again.
