Went here for Sunday Lunch today , as a friend is moving nearby soon , what a lovely little friendly pub , very welcoming staff, nice chill atmosphere , opted for the carvery option , which was all cooked to perfection and presented well ,
Choice of 4 meats or you can mix it up ,more varieties of veg than I could count.
Cauliflower cheese is a must , along with awesome crispy roast potatoes .
Great choice of beers too , will be going back as a regular for sure.

We were in the area and looking for a bit of food at an awkward time.
Thought we'd missed kitchen time, but were accommodated by the friendly staff even at an odd serving time.
Menu is different from what's online, but the food itself was well prepared and tasty:..
I'm guessing a recent change of ownership/management(?) but everyone was friendly, chatty and our pup got a lot of fuss too! Regulars/locals began to arrive and were perfectly friendly as well.
Don't let the appearance deceive you, I guess work is underway, as this is a very nice little pub.
Now I work in Kent, I may make an occasional lunch visit for the fajitas in the area.

If you go, go early! Booked for 2.30pm. Quite busy & few staff. Those staff were clearly trying their best to multitask. Veg for the carvery was almost non existent. Had to wait approx 20 mins for potatoes and gravy to go with what was left from the main offering. Other customers were also frustrated, having eaten their own carvery meal, but still waiting for a simple nuggets and chips for a child. Very disappointing compared to our last visit.

The Sunday carvery was fantastic!! Beautifully cooked meat and vegetables! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for something great! All the trimmings and condiments there,many thanks Jez,this is the 1st time for me,I will be telling my friends,I will be eating there again,

New ownership, just visiting friends for the weekend and had the Sunday roast - great portion size and it?s Carvery style so help yourself. £17.50 and good value, little outside garden and sitting area too for the summer, lovely chatty staff too, would recommend!

Recently taken over by a new family. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food was brilliant we went on the Sunday and had a carvery but will be returning to try the weekly menu.
Kids are welcome and dogs, big garden to enjoy the weather aswell.

First visit to The Four Horseshoes and it won't be our last. Sunday carvery was amazing, home cooked, fresh and generous portions. Staff were lovely so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again!!

Went here with my husband and my dad, for the Sunday carvery, we arrived a bit early, but they was fine with that and was shown our table, then asked if we wanted drinks, which we did.
Short time later we was asked what meats we would like, the hubby and me chose pork and beef, my dad chose gammon and beef.
Now what I really liked about this carvery was, they got your meat ready on the plates then came and got you to go and get the rest of your food, this was done a table at a time, so no standing in a queue waving your plate around.
Plenty of both meats was put on our plates, there was plenty of choice vegetable wise, ie cauliflower cheese, swede, brussel sprouts, carrots, cabbage, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, and best crunchy pork crackling ever!!
I ate everything on my plate, really really enjoyed my dinner.
Pudding
My hubby not a pudding person and my dad was too full up , I chose spotted dick, but I was full up as well so asked if I could take mine home.
Which was not a problem, was nice and hot and put in a container for me.
All in all, a lovely little pub, in a rural area, staff where lovely, polite and efficient.
If you like great homemade food definitely worth a visit.
Will definitely be going back again.

Been wanting to visit for Sunday lunch for a long time now and all I can say was well worth the wait.
Look up the definition of ?Sunday roast? in the dictionary and the four horseshoes will be next to it.highly highly recommend,as delboy would say CUSHTY

Everything about this pub is brilliant. I could not fault the staff, the people, the meal was excellent ? So loved it there. Shall definitely book again

they are flexible and serve you from noon to late at night unlike the posh place down the road by the sea !
