Going above and beyond time and again. Willing to review once more after the heroic and supportive efforts from Age UK Herne Bay related to the events from 16th March - 17th March 2025.
My comendations to your proactive outreach, open house care on the 17th and all the support provided during a distressing time.
Thank you again for supporting our family in times of need.

Went there for information and they were very helpful then and later in a phone call.

Dear Lynette, Alex and Lysianne.
You've given our family Hope. We hadn't thrown in the towel, not by a long shot - but the swiftness, compassion and care that has been given to us all, especially myself; a glimpse to a horizon we needed after a gruelling 48 months of distress.
I made an inquiry, within 24 hours I was presented with a solution. The after care, process and initial meeting for companion services was perfect. Thank you. We look forward to progressing.
Anyone who is in a position where their loved one is several hours away, or is a busy professional with 2 days a month to make the travel down - consider reaching out to Age UK and inquiring about the services they have.
Thank you.

I am a volenteer meal delivery driver. They have a really lovely concept going on and the people are lovely. If your lonely need of help just contact them! We are desperate for volenteers also. Just a couple of hours a week would be fantastic. Please ????

What a wonderful organisation! I have two young children who love playing outside. For ages I?d wanted to get them a mud kitchen and saw the ones advertised by Age UK made by The Shedders. Caroline was quick to reply to my message and passed on my details. The rest of the team contacted me immediately and the Shedders made us a FANTASTIC mud kitchen for £25!!! The product is absolutely great, the Shedders have done a fantastic job and my children are so happy. I love the fact we have groups of people like this who are community-driven. I now have two very happy young children who spend hours making mud dumplings, mud soup and mud pancakes. Thank you so much.

A friend recommended I get in touch with this age uk centre last year, to discuss what services could be suitable for my 83 year old mother. When I first called to make enquiries I was greeted by a very abrupt welsh lady who seemed very irritated and told me I had come through to the wrong person. When I asked what number I should have dialled I was told she was 'too busy to look up numbers' but after a lot of huffing transferred me to Reception. I appreciate that perhaps she was not the correct person to deal with my call but found it quite astounding that anybody working at a charitable organisation would react so rudely and impatiently over this kind of mistake. The lady at Reception was, contrastly, extremely polite and helpful- just a shame the first lady couldn't take a leaf out of her book as it completely put me off.
