A tea room which doesn't sell any drinks when they close in 30 minutes, even though I said I'd be happy for a take out. Some problem with the machine... likely story.

Looks nice from the outside but miserable staff, bad service and horrible food. Will not return. EDIT: Went back there recently and everything seems to have improved.

Good tea rooms, I went in one Sunday for a full English breakfast, yes you had to wait a bit, BUT it is ALL cooked to order and fresh, great little place

Really rude somewhat aggressive owner. I came in for the first time to this tea shop. Ordered a coffee, planned on ordering some food a little later which I said to the waitress when I came in. Worked on my laptop silently, not using the wifi or any power sources and within a room full of vacant tables. After about 45 minutes this rude, aggressive man came over to me and said ?you?re not staying here all day, not ordering food, this isn?t a work room.? Shocked at how he had spoken to me and now not wishing to stay any longer I left. This ?man? is perfectly welcome to run his business however he pleases however I certainly won?t be returning nor recommending and if he?s not the owner, would suggest the management speak to him about the rude and aggressive way in which he spoke to me, a single female. If you don?t want people using laptops and only ordering a drink in your tea shop, that?s your choice, but maybe learn some manners and common decency when communicating this to paying customers.

Good quality plate of food.
Lovely bacon ,quality sausage
Half a tomato
Pot of beans
Lots of mushrooms
2 slices of toast either brown or white
Tea or filter coffee included for £12.95 which i thought was very reasonable
Only weird thing is they give you a sachet of marmalade for your toast? Who eats that with a full English?
Overall very tasty and will definitely return ?

Stopped off on the way back from Mersea Island for a late lunch. All day breakfast and cheese salad. Very nice.
