We popped into The White Horse for a meal and it did not disappoint! We each had a burger, plus a side of chicken tenders to share ? and everything was absolutely delicious. The burgers were juicy, packed with flavour, and cooked to perfection. The chicken tenders were golden, crispy, and wonderfully tender inside.

Didn't stay for food as we were too early. Restaurant reopens for evening at 6. Open at lunch time too. It all looks amazing. Restaurant all looking very good. . Atmosphere very good. Service excellent. . Hoping to return very soon for a family meal.No problem parking at back. Highly recommended. New owner very welcoming like Cullins Yard in Dover. Well done Richard and staff.

Simply, I believe this to be the best pub lunch in the Hawkinge and Folkestone area. Emma, who served us, was excellent and the food was simply superb. Highly recommended

I booked a table for 18 people, 2 months ago, for 11 August. This was for a special family occasion. Today 9 days before our booking, the pub phones me up and cancels our booking, because they are no longer doing food on Sundays. I now have to find somewhere for 18 people, at short notice, fat chance. Shame on the White Horse for not contacting me earlier about this cancellation. I will not be going there again.

By chance we phoned through to book a table for 4 for Sunday lunch, having visited Dover castle. Anna was most courteous and managed to fit us in. I'd recommend booking in advance however, as we were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was busy.
The Sunday lunch menu is excellent with great service too; also piping hot plates which we all really appreciated.
Between us we ordered the prawn on bruschetta, a small portion, but very tasty. Halloumi fries which were delicious. Also, the hearty daily soup.
For mains we had the ample roast lamb and beef dishes, served with substantial helpings of meat and excellent seasonal vegetables. One of us had the nut roast which I tasted, it was very good.
Could not fault this meal or the efficient, friendly service. Will definitely return and take some pics next time :)
