Clicky unwelcoming, Pint taste like washing up liquid, didn?t tell us our sons couldn?t play on the pool table until we had paid then wouldn't refund. Told us that it had just been resurfaced Even after we said that our sons play in the local snooker club and have their own cues. But the manager was happy to let the local sit on it and put their pints on it in front of us told us to sit down and enjoy our drinks even though we said we?ve driven there 30 minutes just for the table for the boys. This review won?t actually matter to them. It?s just for everyone else so they can know to avoid the place. We were sitting with our teenagers so seems very much an excuse that we were not locals. The manager had no grace or understanding for custom. We probably would?ve stayed for a couple of hours if we wasn?t treated like that.

Very very sticky bar. We ordered 3 surf and turfs to which all the steak must have previously been frozen as we all had them rare, however no blood run from them what so ever, so was clear they had been previously frozen. They was also the toughest rump I've ever had in my life. Only had 3 button mushrooms each. Overall spent £120+ and 3 out of 5 meals was terrible. Not a great experience. Shame as had a good overall vibe just the food let it out which was a shame.

A great place to stop for a meal to/from Folkstone or Dover. Very close to the M20 at Densole / Folkstone.
This is our 4th visit and its always good.

We love coming to The Mayfly to eat, especially on a Sunday for the Carvery. The food is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming (particularly the young man who serves the Carvery). Thank you!

The service was very slow, waited 1 hour for food, food was not brilliant also ordered ice cream and toffee sauce.....it came out in an enameled pie dish with enamel part missing and a soup spoon to eat it with.?

1st time dining at The Mayfly since being under new ownership. The food came out quickly and was hot. The server was very friendly and helpful. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely dining experience.
