I have been going to this fabulous, slightly spooky, very old country pub on and off for over 50 years. The Ringlestone Inn is in the middle of nowhere! It is a bit of a treck to get to but so worth it.
We havent been there for quite some time but friends told us that they recently had the best Sunday Roast.
So we chose to book for dinner last Friday evening.
I was so looking forward to a big juicy steak, however we found the menu very disappointing. They were trying to push their two taster menus, a 5 course @ £60 and a 7 course @ £75 each..
On the Mains were Pork, Duck, Bream, and something else, none of which appealed. However the Special for the day was Steak and Red wine pie.
We were served two types of home made bread with Chive butter and melted Marmite butter to dip as a little starter. The Pie was excellent, the meat (which I expect comes from a fabulous country butcher not far away in Doddington) was melt in your mouth. Lovely sauce, crispy top and piping hot.

We used to visit The Ringlestone on a regular basis, so when we were in the area we decided to pop in for a drink.
It still has the Olde Worlde charm, and good beers.
We didn't eat this time, but the menu looks good.

This was our first visit to the Ringelstone Inn, and we will definitely come again! We had the Sunday roast, and we all loved it.We couldn't fault it at all. The house lagers were really good too. Truly amazing staff, kind, attentive, warm, and friendly. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Wendy for making our visit a memorable one!

Had the most wonderful afternoon celebrating my mum's 90th with the family. I had the duck which was so succulent and tasty not fatty at all. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is a cosy British pub! What more could you want thank you.

Lovely historic pub that still retains a lot of centuries old character including cobbled floor and open fire. Plenty of parking and a large garden.

Five of us went for lunch on Saturday for a birthday celebration. The service was very friendly and welcoming and the food was really delicious. Between the five of us we had quite a variety of things from the menu and each dish was wonderful. Thoroughly recommend!

The perfect cosy country pub! The food was fantastic and the staff were lovely. Will defo be coming back to this absolute gem! I could have stayed in the corner by the roaring fire all night!
