The inn on the Lake was a lovely experience. I enjoyed the serene atmosphere by the lake and the breakfast was okay.

A beautiful lakeside venue for weddings and events. The staff are so friendly and on hand to help with anything. The indoor spaces are spacious and bright but the outdoor spaces are simply breathtaking. Perfect for wedding photos! Can't wait to decorate here again.

Disappointed. Visited for afternoon tea, greeted by receptionist who seemed annoyed we disturbed her and the access was difficult with wheelchair, asked to see the lake and was directed to the exit with step. Felt we were inconveniencing them. Lake was beautiful and the only saving grace to our visit. Building was old fashioned style (like 1960s community hall vibe) Food was ok sandwiches were lovely, tasty and filled well. Scones were shop bought and warmed up. Cakes were all doughy, heavy sponge not nice, and no variety. Over priced for cheap food at £23.95 per person. Needless to say we won't return.

Within 20 minutes of the coast makes a good stop gap when travelling. Nice breakfast and great view of swans on the lake.

My husband and i were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary with a few friends and iur best man and his wife on 2nd march 2024. We first came to Inn on the lake in 1972 when it was then called The Laughing Water Motel. My husband and best man were in the navy then and based at Chatham. So booked into Motel on way back on leave! My husband and I have been several times since over the years, always had a good time with the caberet nights and have taken loads of friends on different occasions. The New Years Eve night is something else. Well worth a visit. It is located in a glorious place in kent with a beautiful lake behind it.The Lakeside view rooms are lovely (as are the otherside rooms) especially the downstairs ones as the patio doors open onto the patio area of the lake .The rooms are very spacious and fully equiped with hairdryer and tea/coffee facilities. The decor needs a bit of an update but all very clean! The staff are all very helpful and very pleasant. Hopefully intend to go back again god willing! Would definately recommend a stay.My only grip is the roundabout for exit for inn on the lake. It's not very clearly signposted. Everytime we go, we end up going round roundabout 3 times before getting right one. Think a sign saying inn on the lake would help for the right exitHad a great night though!Rooms: Bit outdated but clean and great views.

I couldn't stop coughing because of the curtains which haven't been washed for ages and must be very dusty. Not a comfortable mattress. Spider nets above the curtains.

A good central location for a hotel for our needs. Its popularity is suggested by how busy it was and it was only a Monday. The room was lovely and warm with a comfortable bed and mattress with firmness that was just right. The bathroom was lovely and large as well with extemely hot water which suied me perfectly. The view of the lake was just beautiful and a nice surprise, even in the fog. Little ducks pottering around outside the window was very tranquil.Check in was smooth and informatiovd and greeted with a nice smile and warm welcome. The decor in the rooms is a little dated but its still quirky and homely.Very good price and, especially with the breakfast included. My only hang up for the whole trip was that poached egg was a little bit overcooked, but it still tasted lovely. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you and a big well done to ALL of the staff

Stayed for one night had a bath used the towel that was on the bath to put on floor when getting out .as I stood on the towel provided it slipped away from me causing me to hit my head and back on sink .I reported it to the male receptionist on the desk he gave me the email address to complain. All the reply I got back in email was sorry you had a full .there's no record of you reporting your full and I'd used a towel to stand on I thought the little towels on a side of a bath was for standing on. My wife wanted to call ambulance wish she had now

Everyone expects something to go wrong on their wedding day, but we can honestly say nothing went wrong and we had the most perfect wedding day at the Inn on the Lake. We couldn't have asked for the day to go any better than it did and that was down to the excellent event management skills of Natalie and her team. Nothing was too much and Natalie did everything to make sure it was an amazing day for everyone.Having a room the night before to get ready for the big day was brilliant, we weren't rushed and had a lovely morning preparing for the afternoon. The wedding ceremony under the gazebo in front of the lake looked magical, the room and tables were prefect, food was brilliant and the staff were lovely, we were looked after well from beginning to end. The evening hog roast, we're told was amazing, we actually missed this as we were pulled from pillar to post all evening making sure we spoke to as many people as possible. The DJ was great, getting the dancefloor filled as much as possible too. Then after the most perfect day, having the bridal room to go back to was bliss, although having an early flight the next day we didn't get to enjoy the jacuzzi or the breakfast in bed.We had the best day, all of our guests enjoyed their time as much as we did and for that we both thank you all very much. The Inn on the Lake is the most beautiful setting, with the most attentive team, you will not be disappointed and you will have an incredible wedding day!
