Convenient location, but way over subscribed. It was mega busy when we went and had to cobble together some chairs for our table. Queue was up to the door at times and felt like the staff had no time to keep the place looking clean and tidy.
Food however was standard Costa fair and enjoyable. Would say if you?ve got the time then try one of the smaller cafes on the periphery of the high street tbf.

Costa? More like Costa Fortune!
Expensive coffee when compared to the perfectly sufficient Greggs or MacDonald's across the road. Or better yet, making it yourself at home and drinking from a thermos.
Rendezvous with friends, family, workmates or whoever, or having the need for the quick convenience of a coffee prepared for you does come up, and I would say Costa has a nicer seating area than its nearby competitors ? but it charges a bit too much for what is ultimately just a coffee with some frothy milk.
So, the coffee isn't leagues better in any meaningful way, yet the prices suggest it should be something really special. £4.15 for a large cappuccino? £4.50 for a large Mocha?
Their millionaire shortbreads are a bit underwhelming too. The shortbread disintegrates into a texturally dissatisfying powder upon biting into it, and the caramel is also not very substantial.

The staff at the Gravesend site were very friendly and helpful, the service being served was quick and efficient, the coffee shop was very clean and tidy, would recommend this store.

It's just full of people from the middle east who do nothing but shout over one another. Toilets are always filthy. The manager has a face like thunder all the time and is rude. Middle eastern people take all the seats outside without making a purchase. The manager gets her friends to push in line rather than serve the patiently waiting customers.
