Excellent service, food was good, cutlery wasn't the cleanest. Atmosphere - quiet but it was a couple of days after Christmas. Decor really needs updating. From the outside it looks dreadful, scaffolding, peeling paint, rubbish

We got stuck in traffic on A2 and managed to get off so stopped here for something to eat and to answer the call of nature.Service was slow, toilets were disgraceful, food was less than ok and it was cold and dirty inside the building.I would only recommend this if you are desperate.

We as a group of 7, booked a table on the 17th December 5pm and got our starters an hour later. Approximately it took another 2 hours to get our main courses and deserts. The Christmas turkey meals were tepid and dry. A desert of apple pie and custard was served up on a dinner plate. Front of house service was almost non existent and people were queuing for long periods, some giving up and leaving. The restaurant and bar are severely under staffed which is no fault of the waiting personell. Obviously, the management.care more about profit than customer satisfaction.

I made an online booking and turned up with my family for breakfast to find a note on the door explaining they were closed. No email or call to say it was closed before turning up and then it was very difficult to find somewhere else last minute. Not a good experience. You wouldn't expect to be able to make a booking if it's not open.

I went with my friends and we had a lovely time. However, I noticed that this place doesn't have many vegetarian options. They mainly rely on the boring veggie burgers for alternative options. But, they do have a few dishes that can be made vegan for a little extra cost.Vegetarian options: Very limited boring options.Parking: Register inside

We were a party of 7 and popped in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Sunday afternoon booking through Google only a few hours before we ate at 15:00. The staff were incredibly accommodating, really friendly and our waitress was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their mains and desserts (there were only bones left on the plates) and we had a very fun and relaxing afternoon. Highly recommend the Biscoff Sundae.

Was delicious food but was upset when we found out when paying the bill that the mains we ordered were not in the 50% off Black Friday deal. We checked when we got home and Of course they were crafty by leaving it in the small print the exclusions.Overall lovely service and delicious 8 oz steaks. The big down side was the minor money grabber leaving us looking like idiots.

To start with we checked into premier inn which was lovely, we got large room that's clean the whole visit. However the beefeater where you get your breakfast, lunch and dinner was horrendous. Seriously guys how much better would it be to have more staff. The poor girl who served us was there on our first morning and she was still there that same evening. Which I understand can happen in hospitality time to time but to see her the next morning on her own with no other staff on the floor and full restaurant was unbelievable. I don't understand how she was still able to give such a good service to us.She looked absolutely exhausted. The management should invest in some cleaners as well because the toilets were disgusting. The floor all over the restaurant looks like it was there for over a century and I never saw such a dark place (maybe try to let some sun in) I hope that next time I come down here at least the manager will be seen in the floor and not just one poor waitress clearly doing hours that shouldn't be allowed.I must say beefeater has a lot to do to improve

Went here hoping that it might be better than previous visits to various other Beefeaters, how wrong was I! It was worse if that was possible, our so called waitress seemed to be trying her best to avoid us and was as miserable as sin. The whole place needs a total revamp, only stayed as there was no where else within walking distance. Would definitely not recommend this place and would avoid if you can.

This place just seems to go downhill. They chose whenever they want to have last orders, they ran out of lager for a whole week (one choice only left). Staff look unhappy and are quite surly, place is generally dirty and very unwelcoming, toilets are always dirty and paper towels overflowing bins. We go in there as we stay at next door premier inn. As that place is just as bad, next visit will definitely be in a different hotel with a different pub aligned to it.

When we pulled up we thought it was closed , disgusting inside and out, food was edable. People on the table next to us left after the starter. Toilets were disgusting. The whole place is filthy. We actually phone the council about the place.

Visited lunchtime on 30th August. Had heard mixed reviews re food and service, but we were pleasantly surprised. Waitress Bobbi-ja was very helpful and attentive. Food served in good time and was well presented and tasty. Had main, dessert and coffees. The only negative is the decor, needs another refresh.

We stayed at the Premier Inn, and went for dinner on the Friday evening. We were given, with no explanation at set menu, which was dreadful. We went for breakfast the next morning, and we were told only continental breakfast was available. Awful. No chef, but anyone can do bacon and eggs! Absolutely dreadful.
