The food was over cooked and hard. Very inedible.
On arrival we were told that they had been very busy and they wasn't sure if the kitchen was still open. In hindsight, I wish they had stopped serving food so we wouldn't have experienced the food that was presented to us.

My dad is in a care home near by to this pub the peacock, and we have been taking him here for Sunday dinner for a wile now, we travel a long way to see dad but this pub as made our Sundays for us more pleasurable, as the staff here are so lovely and welcoming and make us as a family feel at ease as dad has Parkinsons and dementia he looks forward to Sundays getting out for a few hours and the food is amazing, defo recommend this pub

We had a motorbike ride out to Hastings and stopped off at the peacock for a quick pint on the way home. The staff was super welcoming and served us a great pint of beer. The selection was good for the group and we all enjoyed the refreshments. We did not have any food but from what I could see it did look scrumptious. Make sure you pull in at this amazing pub. The decor is awesome if you are after a traditional pub.

Went today for an 80th birthday celebration.
A great Sunday roast, ample of food, cooked to perfection.
Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, will definately return.

Lovely staff, very welcoming and quick service, a beautiful pub and garden however it's the food that lets them down, one thin small slice of pork with no crackling, potatoes cooked with a warm breath and anemic vegetables for £17.50 was atrocious

Stopped in on the way home and was so glad. So often underwhelmed with pub food but the Peacock Inn served up four lovely meals that everyone was more than pleased with. Great service, great food and great atmosphere.

Food was terrible went in for Sunday roast hard veg roast potatoes were cooked at least a day before battling with numerous flies to try and eat your dinner the only thing we ate was a slice of pork and Yorkshire puddings the rest was inedible
