The staff at Hempstead Valley were very helpful. My eye exam was very thorough. When it came to choosing glasses the assistant Lisa P was very helpful even when I changed my mind on how to pay for my glasses.

Very good with the eye test but I really don't expect to go to the opticians and have the lady talk to me about my life choices just do my eyes and keep your nose out of my choices.

Negative & positive about vision express in Hempstead valley.
The positives are the lady (sorry can't remember her name) was professional, patient, gave good explanation,I found the puffer test on my eyes,to which I know is very important,but I found it very difficult,but she gave alot of reassurance.
Then the dispenser (ref 130-0206562) was again very professional,he really did help me choose my next pair of glasses,he was kind enough to find the cheapest price for my glasses,as I have a very strong prescription.
We had a good laugh,he was extremely friendly,he than thanked me,as he said it was a pleasure having a friendly patient.
The new store is amazing very high tech,the chairs are very comfortable.
The negative is the optometrist (USMAH DAD)
I don't even feel she should be working in this position of authority, very rude to me, didn't believe the symptoms I was saying with my eyes, really I am the patient I should know.
The final straw (so to speak) the final test that was done on my eyes,( obviously don't know the name of the test)
The lights are put out in the room, it's a machine where the light that shines in my eyes & gets brighter & brighter,she seemed to like the fact that it will get brighter.
Then she had to lift my eye lids up,she told me,to look down to the left to which I did,she asked me again in a rude manner,I said I am looking down. I did say to her I may have to stop the test as I have problems with my neck & shoulder & I was in pain because of this test I will have to take painkillers. If someone was disabled how would they do this test.
We are 2025 vision express, should be a more comfortable way of doing this hoorodous test.
I will be putting a formal complaint about this dreadful so called professional.
As I don't want other professionals to go through what I went through!!!!

Jess was fantastic and helped me choose my new frames. I?m rather indecisive and had already made the wrong decision on 2 pairs of previous glasses from vision express due to not getting on with the type of frames and lenses. But thanks to the 100 day free return policy and Jess spending a great deal of time and care with me in store I managed to change my frames and I?m very much looking forward to them arriving! Thanks again Jess

Great experience. Everyone was helpful. As a deaf lip reading customer, they were happy to remove their masks so I could lip reading them. The girl. Grace or Gracie at Hempstead valley was brilliant she was young and looked rather nervous which she overcome and helped me decide on my glasses. Highly recommend.
