Initially they were fantastic then whilest doing my mum's end of life care I had multiple messages saying I was over due for an eye test. I rang them up to explain that I was doing my mum's end of life care and got "can't you bring her with you " I explained that my mum was bed bound and got accused of making up an excuse. On the day of my mum's funeral I had 5 messages from them. I have rung up multiple times to say because of what said when my mum was dieing we will no longer be using them. I can not forgive them for telling me that I was making up an excuse that my mum was dying. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to be bombarded with messages at the most sensitive times of your life.

Would not recommend my girlfriend went here to get her eyes tested to find out she needed reading glasses. She then proceeded to pick some frames that she liked. And to be honest it was down hill from here on in. She was recommend that she had filters and coatings that she was not informed of the astronomical cost of which she felt pressured into buying .then find out at end of purchasing to find that £69 frames come to £118 after removing coating upon returning to the store as she felt it was too expensive in these difficult times the frames and lenses were ordered. A message was sent to inform us of their arrival for collection we then took Time out of work to collect. to get to the store and find out the wrong frames had been sent we waited half hour for them to check all the other frames in stock to find her ones are no longer available had she been informed of this she wouldn't have picked them.in the first place . To be then given smug excuses by the optician passing the buck to someone else trying to save him self from a refund.Ended up getting our money back and taking our custom elsewhere

Staff are friendly and helpful but I wouldn't go back to this branch in the future as it is cramped and very noisy due to it being in a large tesco store. I couldn't even hear the assistant at one point due to customer noise and tesco staff pushing trollies past the entrance. There is only one seat for the customer and so my husband had to stand (I was there over an hour) and he felt he kept getting in the way. At other branches, it is so much more peaceful and relaxed and always a seat for a plus one.

Was a bit long winded, had 3 appointments in total, back and fourth. Think if the right information was given this could have been avoided.

Vision express in Gillingham, what can I say.... A very very positive experience. I rung up and got an appointment on the same day (which when looking online at other opticians there was a week's wait). I got a warm welcome when I got into the store. The pre tests took no time at all, then was taken straight in for my sight test. The optometrist was amazing. Have already recommended to friends and family!

Highly recommend this branch. Elizabeth took the time to show me and my Daughter lots of different glasses and explained the different lenses clearly and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Camilla the optician gave me a thorough eye test and recommend I get a cholesterol check which I have now booked. Thanks for all your help.
