I have been with Mr Woolley since I was a boy and he has always been a model of courtesy and professionalism. He is also extremely thorough and conscientious. I sent a friend to him today who has been given the runaround by a well known chain and her GP and not only did Mr Woolley see her at short notice but got her an immediate referral: much relief all round.

My appointment was delayed by 30 minutes because he was too busy discussing politics with his patient. So I had to cancel my flu jab that I was hoping to get to. Once inside and having my appointment he decided to confide that he thought too many people on this earth were sensitive and has no idea why there are more mental health issues now than in 1945. Appointment took unnecessarily long because of his talking and was a complete waste of time because he didn?t find anything. Better off going to specsavers for an eye test as its the exact same equipment!

T J Woolley is very experienced, knowledgeable, professional and friendly - highly recommend. Super advice. The receptionist is also a credit to the opticians. Great job.

I saw Mr Woolley after waiting a year after the end of chemo as advised by my Oncologist. My parents used Mr Woolley which is why I went to him. Mr Woolley diagnosed me with an eye problem which runs in my dad's family and which my now late dad had but refused to tell me anything about it due to patient confidentiality and to ask my dad about it. I pointed out that my dad is a proud man and didn't talk about medical issues with me and still he refused to tell me about it. I ended up having to get a second opinion about it and I didn't have anything wrong with my eyes apart from being long sighted.

I was unable to get an appointment with my local optician and was advised to ring for an appointment at the Wooley practice.I was given an appointment that day .Very welcoming staff and clear and prompt diagnosis.
