Visited the EE store on Gillingham High Street to purchase the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences I?ve ever had.
The process took over 1.5 hours with no clear communication. Staff members, particularly someone named Jade and her team, were slow, disorganized, and vague. They claimed their card machine wasn?t working and insisted we pay £100 in cash, which already raised red flags.
But shockingly, we saw other customers using the same machine to make payments! When we questioned this, they gave an unconvincing excuse saying ?that?s for a different purpose,? which made no sense at all.
We were forced to walk to an ATM to withdraw cash. When we asked for a receipt, they said they?d email it?but never even took our email address. Only after we asked again did they say £30 was taken as an ?upfront charge? and returned the remaining £70 in cash.
Had we not insisted on a bill, we would have had no proof and easily been scammed. It felt extremely shady and unprofessional, especially coming from a brand like EE. I would strongly advise others to be very careful when dealing with this store.

Information not given appropriately which led to extra trip being needed to be undertaken

The staff are great and as long as you have time to spare, then you will be seen. One important point is to NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT TIME. If you think you will save time, no, you will not as if there are people in the shop; they are all served before you, regardless of your appointment!

Fantastic people especially the manager. A few times that I visited there, I have been very well treated. All my issues have been properly handled. The High Street branch and Pentagon is the only one I have visited and everyone there has been outstanding.

Wasn?t great start, doesn?t seem appointments done online matters. I was fuming . But when came to assistance was smooth and really good service. I would just recommend to the team working there thinking about first impression which is always crucial
